I pre-ordered this Ibanez Performance Series 12 string and couldn't wait for it to come in. It was well worth the wait! I've played much more expensive 12 strings and this one can keep up with the best of them. It came in perfectly setup. The neck is smooth and extremely comfortable. The finish is impeccable, and the sound is everything I would expect from a much higher end 12 string. It plays beautifully and very comfortably. This is a great buy and suited for a beginner, intermediate, or seasoned performer. It won't disappoint. I've never owned an Ibanez and must admit I was a bit leery of buying one, but Ibanez has made a believer out of me. You will not find a finer 12 string at this price point any where!

I have had this guitar for about 3 months now and I am extremely happy with the sound. It has great tone and sustain. While on the other hand, the construction of this guitar is sub-par at best. There are numerous issues with the finish of the wood as well as the tuners. The fret board is sanded and finished very unevenly. Some of the frets have sharp edges that I carefully filed down and there is an abundant amount of excess glue on the inside as well as a few cracks on the sides of the fretboard/neck. To sum it up, the sound is amazing, but the construction is obviously "Made in China" as the sticker on the inside so proudly dictates. I say for the $200 its a great buy as long as you dont care what the guitar looks like.

Comments about Ibanez Performance Series PF1512 Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic Guitar:

I have had this guitar for about 3 months now and still can't put it down! The setup from the factory was impeccable and it's holds its tune extremely well. It has a deep true sound with lots of depth. A great neck design makes this easier to play than my 6 string Godin Kingpin (which I also love.) I can't say enough about this guitar. It's offers quality at a price that should cost at least $700-$800 more! Great job Ibanez!! And great job Guitar Center.

nothing really fancy

Comments about Ibanez Performance Series PF1512 Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic Guitar:

I've had IVY for a year now and I'm happy with her. Ok it's a $200.00 guitar 'but it's easy on the fingers to play sounds/ tone is very full. Out of my 3 guitars I enjoy it the most of all. She's a little touchy about staying in tune 'but I'm no light weight with a pick or picking. all in all I like this guitar very much and play out a lot! Being lower priced I don't worry scratches or wear. 2 or 3 times a week she is in my car going some where and I don't use the case. This is just a fun guitar that is easy to play.

Comments about Ibanez Performance Series PF1512 Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic Guitar:

12 string have their own uniqueness. What you can play on a 6 isn't necessary playable or sound right on a 12. For the price, it is a fun guitar and not hard on the fingers.

Comments about Ibanez Performance Series PF1512 Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic Guitar:

It experienced a bit of cold weather, and now, I can never play it again. I bought it back in August, and it is December now. It played good at home, but cold temperatures caused the action to go way down. No way to adjust that. I'm afraid it's stuck like this.

Comments about Ibanez Performance Series PF1512 Dreadnought 12-String Acoustic Guitar:

I think for the price, this is a great 12-string. I've tried others that were harder on the fingers, but find this one pretty comfortable and easy to play. I put a new set of light strings on (the ones on it when shipped turned my fingers black), and tuned it up to concert pitch without any problems concerning broken strings or intonation. I am taking off 1 star due to the somewhat rough feel of the metal frets that stick out just a bit from the fretboard. Someone suggested this might be due to not enough humidity for the wood to expand, so I am humidifying the area where the guitar is stored and hope the rough edges magically disappear. Otherwise, the guitar sounds great in my opinion.
