I have owned every guitar from Yamaha to Martin's to Taylor's to the cheapist thing i could find. I got this guitar a little over a week ago I took it out last weekend to play hooked it up and nothing ummm checked everything and again nothing. I took this guitar back to the store on Monday morning they swaped it out for another one and I have not had any problems with this one its a great guitar it plays really good has good volume and sounds good unpluged and pluged up the only thing is if you use the tuner you have to have the guitar pluged up. For the quality and a case to go with you cant beat this price. Its a great guitar.
I own some expensive guitars and I have reasonable expectations when it comes to the under $300 variety. I was in search of a guitar as a gift for someone last Christmas. I spotted this model from across the store and I was immediately impressed with the look and finish. Though the sides and back are laminated, the appearance of the woodgrain and finish will make you look twice. The grain and finish on the spruce top was nicer than any other guitar that I saw in this price range. The binding on the body and up the neck make this look like a far more expensive model. Based on looks, you will be proud to own it. The most notable thing about its sound is the nice low end. Adjustments to the neck made it very playable in the low frets. It could use some additional adjustment to make it even better. Since I was buying this as a gift, I asked if they had the cardboard box to wrap it in. When the salesperson brought over the included hard case instead, I was completely sold. Buy some decent 12 guage strings and change them immediately. It will play and sound better and your fingers will not turn black. I played this guitar this weekend (one year later) and I am still very happy with the purchase. I may be buying another for a new player this Christmas.
