The more compact member of the Ibanez Exotic Wood family, the EWC acoustic-electric features a body that's smaller in size and shallower in depth than the original EW's for increased playing comfort and acoustic projection. With a top of Padauk, a mahogany neck and body, B-Band® pickup and SRTn preamp with onboard tuner, the EWC30PDERLG guitar from the EW acoustic guitar family will inspire you with it's great looks, sound and playability. The sharp cutaway is an eye-catcher and provides easy access to the highest frets. Great electronics give you superb control over your tone, and the 1/4" and XLR output mean you're ready to plug into just about anything.

Sound and playability are the two most important components in an instrument. But very few will deny that a standout visual aspect enhances your performance. The appearance and sound of the unique Exotic Wood Series guitars were designed for the player who is looking for a completely new and different voice. You won't find anything else quite like the Ibanez EW guitars — even among guitars that are much more expensive.

Very fine guitar for the price

By Kathy J.

from Washington

I am just learning guitar but I have been around guitarists for a long time and I know a quality instrument when I hear it. This guitar is no Gibson but it has a really great sound for a fraction of what a Gibson would run you. This guitar has really good projection and volume when not amplified. I don't have an amplifier and have not heard it amplified. Although the literature with the guitar indicated a quieter midrange I find the guitar has a full high, low and midrange when not amplified. The wood is beautiful too. The on-board tuner is very handy and works well. The playability is what I like most about this guitar though, the size is just right for me being a 3/4 type guitar. The neck is not too thick and it is much easier to finger the chords than the Tacoma Chief I have. I am really enjoying this one and the price is really unbelievable when you hear this guitar sing. If you only want to spend this much money but still want a really nice sound for your dollars, this guitar is an excellent choice.

Excellent guitar! I'm a music education major concentrating in guitar performance and have been playing guitar since the 8th grade. This guitar just feels perfect for me! The neck is so comfortable and the tone is excellent! When it's unplugged the tone is very sweet and on the warm side(my personal preference). When plugged in, the tone becomes very versatile due to the onboard equalizer. I've gigged with mine for 2 years and it is still ini great shape. This guitar is amazing is built to last!

Great Guitar, lovely sound and look.

By caleb

I've been playing guitar for about 2 years, and i've played many guitars in that two years, and this guitar is for sure up there with martins and taylor's, the guitar is brighter and has more depth than the picture and looks a lot better in my opinon, the sound is amazing.though this guitar is great the first time it arrived the headstock was completly decapitated, but I don't know if that's the wood or not. This guitar is overall a guitar that's ready to bring a tear to anyone's eye young or old and very beautifuly different.

I'm a beginner, but.....

By Jeremy

from Stockbridge, Ga

This guitar is sweet! First the looks: Awesome eye candy all over this guitar. Next the sound: Great sound and I love the smaller body. It helps with learning the chords. Next the accessories: The fact that it's an electric acoustic with on board tuning is absolutely grand! I LOVE the on board tuner capability. I've owned other guitars in the past, and the ability to just hit a button and "presto" you can tune on the spot is the coolest thing I think I've ever seen on any guitar. For a well-rounded experience and for the beginner or even a seasoned guitarist, this is a bargain you don't want to pass on. Go to the store and pull one off the wall and try it NOW!
