Overview

As Korn celebrates its 20th anniversary, Brian Head Welch's new signature 7-string model is a talisman to creative longevity, friendship and of course amazing music. Heads relationship with Ibanez guitars goes back to the bands beginnings and his KOMRAD20 is integral component of the massive sonic attack that Korn is known for.

Not only is the KOMRAD his main live axe, he also used it on all tracks of Korns recent release, Paradigm Shift. The Basswood body, the 3pc Wizard II-7 Maple neck and Rosewood fingerboard comprise the foundation of the KOMRAD20. Whole step down tuning and The DiMarzio PAF 7 pickups produce a sound thats both clean and open on the low notes and warm and rounded on the highs.

Nice guitar

Comments about Ibanez KOMRAD20 Head Signature Series 7-String Electric Guitar:

Just got this thing and it sounds amazing! I love the PAF 7's, they allow you to get heavy tone, with a good amount of clairity so the sound isn't too muddy. Neck plays real well, (3 piece maple) nice paint job, and light weight. It comes with some heavy strings on the bass side which was new for me but I didn't mind it very much, seemed to help the low end cut through thick distorstion. The toggle switch posistion is nice as well. Only issue was an odd buzz on the high b (or a, as the guitar is tuned down 1 step)but I raised the saddle a hair and it seems fine. Overall a great guitar.
