If fast solos and sweet tone are your thing, you'll love the Ibanez JS1200 Joe Satriani Signature Guitar. It took Ibanez many years to create guitars that would satisfy the Master of Tone, and the result is superb! Precision-sculpted basswood body is light on the shoulder with otherworldly looks and great high-fret access. Its vibrant resonance is translated into endless sustain through DiMarzio humbuckers -- a PAF Joe at the neck and a Fred at the bridge. Screamin' fast JS Prestige maple neck features smaller 6105 frets and tighter radius on a rosewood fretboard. Dive bomb with aplomb on the Edge bridge.

I recently bought this guitar and i absolutely love it!! It has a great sound and you can use it for all genres of music! Whether its rock, jazz, metal, blues, country, etc. Its light weight and has a smooth, fast playing neck! I definetly recommend this great guitar!
I have had my guitar for about a year and this guitar has be one of the nicest playing instruments out there. The neck action is really smooth moving up and down the frets. The pickups produce beautiful clean or dirty rich tones. The only knock I have on it is the tailpiece which still gives me fits in not staying in tune for very long. I have taken the guitar in for setup and have been told that it's design comes from Vanhallen out in 80s. I am still working on a cure.
I have been playing 50 some years and have owned every guitar you have seen. This is my favorite. It has a small body and very light. The neck is perfect. Buy one.
I've been playing the RG350 for some time now i love the 24 frets and ease of playing fast' i got this JS1200 and I'm blown away i miss the extra frets but what an awesome guitar sounds great looks great and you can really shred on it.
I've had this guitar for over a year now and play in a dance/rock cover band doing most of the standard 70/80/90's hits. This guitar is so versatile with the coil tap that I can get almost any sound I need from the guitar and a few pedals into a peavey classic 50. Extremely easy to play with low action. Pickups are clear and give a great rock sound. I mainly use the bridge pickup to cut through the mix (as I only use this in a live setting). The only thing I've changed on the guitar is I blocked the tremolo to dive only. My only issue really is some of the low frets are a stretch for my hands. Prior to this I played a peavey wolfgang but have since moved that to my backup and exclusively use the JS1200. It is just a blast to play and I have a hard time putting it down. So I recommend going and trying it out especially if you cover a wide range of genres.
I'm an intermediate guitar player but seemed to notice an immediate increase in fluidness of my solos and scales when I got mine. It's not too heavy so you can rock out for quite a while and has awesome tone. My biggest gripe about it is that it's really easy to accidently bend the high e off the neck, it's kinda a pain to take out of standard or drop d tuning and its a little uncomfortable to sit down and play with. But since I usually play in standard and you cant REALLY rock unless you're standing up its perfect for me!
this gutiar i got a few months ago and iit good for evry thing. this my favorite gutiar ive ever played. this lord of rock screams. it sounds better with your heaver kind of stuff. but its still great. if you looking for a hard rock gutiar this shold be on your list!!!!!!!!!!
This guitar is pretty good. I just tried it out today, and I did like it. It really does work best with blues and classic rock, which really isn't the kind of music i play a lot. The other flaw I noticed was that occasionally during solos, the bottom E string bends off the fretboard pretty easily, even when you're not bending it. but otherwise, it's a pretty good guitar.
If you like playing blues and such this a nice guitar the reason i gave it a 4.5 for features is because mainley of the pick ups i like to use E.M.G. pickups on all my guitars but their way to expensive over all this is a nice guitar.
I have played this guitar few years ago, at a music store in Boston. You might think the looking isn't that attractive, but hey! Play it, you will find it really hot! Just like its color, JS 1200 has a really hot solo tone, it is aggressive, and it can also be gentle. I had compared this guitar to some other Ibanez guitars such as JEM 7V, AT300, and even JS2000. I found out one thing about JS 1200 is that the feeling of the grip is so great that even though I have small hands, I don't have any problem playing it. It is smooth! The finger board is awesome. JS1200 is a dynamic guitar; it is nice to play fusion, Jazz, blues, and rock. What I really like about JS1200 is the neck pick-up, PAF Joe pick-up and the edge pro system. If you are looking for this guitar but worrying about the price, don't wait! Because it is really a good choice!
