Overview

As the legion of converts to the made-for-metal Iron Label Series continues to grow, Ibanez continues to tap the seismic underworld for inspiration. Working from the chassis up of their famous RG, Ibanez has struck sonic gold with its RGIT20FE. The RGIT20FEs 7-peice maple/walnut neck-through construction and ash wing body is the perfect combination substantial, yet comfortable with more than enough sustain to spare.

Working from the philosophy that player comfort translates into speed, the reliable Gibraltar II bridge sits at the lowest possible height, well out of way of your picking hand. Meanwhile, the original innovators in fast neck design have surpassed themselves with their latest creation, the Nitro Wizard. This sturdy 7-piece neck features an ebony fingerboard with jumbo frets that both enhance playing speed and offer optimal articulation.

An EMG 60 in the neck position and EMG 81 in the bridge, guarantee thick, complex distortion with plenty of depth to carve out your signature sound. Lean into the performance enhancing killswitch to take command of head-turning strobe effects and drive your playing over the edge and beyond. With the purposefully spartan Iron Label, you wont find a feature here that doesnt contribute directly to waking the dead.

With metal and nothing but metal in mind, Ibanez modded and tweaked until they got to the heaviest sounding metal axes ever built. For the ultimate in playability they took their legendary super-thin, ultra-playable Wizard neck, and upped the ante to Nitro Wizard - as fast and comfortable but with added road-tested durability. Whether it's a 6-, 7- or 8-string, every Iron Label axe is matched perfectly with American-made EMG or DiMarzio pickups. Purposefully Spartan, you won't find a feature here that doesn't contribute directly to rattling bones or waking the dead.

Comments about Ibanez Iron label RG Series RGIT20FE Electric Guitar:

I was really impressed with the craftsmanship and quality of this guitar. It is everything as advertised and then some. It has great tone, bionic sustain, and very smooth switching electronics. It comes from the factory with the string action a little high, so it will need to be sent out for a pro setup. The toggle/kill switch could have been better thought out with maybe a push button momentary switch, but even it is a blast to play with. Even with these minor issues, the guitar is still a five star instrument and is even more beautiful in person than in the pictures. Money well spent!

Comments about Ibanez Iron label RG Series RGIT20FE Electric Guitar:

Absolutely beautiful guitar that sounds great. Neck is super comfortable and fast. Love the radius on this neck. Best balanced guitar I've ever owned. No neck drop at all. Take both hands off the guitar and it doesn't move at all. EMGs, bridge and locking tuners are high quality. The only thing I would change on this guitar is the addition of locking strap locks. Otherwise an amazing axe.

Comments about Ibanez Iron label RG Series RGIT20FE Electric Guitar:

Awesome guitar for metal. Probably my favorite natural finish i have seen and it has great tone and sustain. The active EMG's are a brutal combo. The only small issue i had with it was two frets were slightly unseated and that was a easy fix. Other than that no issues.

Comments about Ibanez Iron label RG Series RGIT20FE Electric Guitar:

Picked up the RGIT20FE recently. I own or have owned all the major brands and some of the higher end models. While I lean towards Schecter, I never really considered an Ibanez. I always thought thye were lacking in appearance and a few I played at stores seemed to lack punch and were a bit tinny sounding. Then I picked up the RGIT20FE and it instantly made me a believer. I was tired of constantly tuning my floyd equipped guitars and frankly the floyds lose sustain, pinch harmonics are tougher and really just wanted to play vice "fight" my guitar. The RGIT comes well equipped with active EMGs, locking tuners, a super fast neck (fastest I ever played). The bridge is super comfortable. The enck is 7-piece and just fits my hand perfectly. The tone out of this guitar is really punchy in drop-D. I have other EMG equipped guitars with the same PUPs but they just sound perfect in the Ibby. I would highly recommend this guitar to anyone who plays metal and likes active PUPs. Especially recommend it if you're looking to ditch the floyd hassles. Sounds great, built solid, everything was perfect right out of the box. Didn't even need to change strings (first time ever on a new guitar). Really just a great well-built, awesome sounding guitar. If you play rock/metal this comes with my highest recommendation.
