Overview

As the legion of converts to the made-for-metal Iron Label series continues to grow, Ibanez continues to tap the seismic underworld for inspiration. Working from the “chassis” up of their famous RG, Ibanez has struck sonic gold with its RGIT20FE. The RGIT20FE’s 7pc Maple/ Walnut neck-through construction and Ash wing body is the perfect combination — substantial, yet comfortable with more than enough sustain to spare. Working from the philosophy that player comfort translates into speed, the reliable Gibraltar II bridge sits at the lowest possible height, well out of way of your picking hand.

Meanwhile, the original innovators in fast neck design have surpassed themselves with their latest creation, the “Nitro Wizard.” This sturdy 7pc neck features an Ebony fingerboard with jumbo frets that both enhance playing speed and offer optimal articulation. An EMG 60 in the neck position and EMG 81 in the bridge, guarantee thick, complex distortion with plenty of depth to carve out your signature sound. Lean into the performance enhancing killswitch to take command of head-turning strobe effects and drive your playing over the edge and beyond. With the purposefully spartan Iron Label, you won’t find a feature here that doesn’t contribute directly to waking the dead. Case sold separately.

Comments about Ibanez Iron label RG Series RGIT20FE Electric Guitar:

Im very impressed, the quality its more higher than the premium series, perfect feel, easy to play shred, tuning stability and very good sustain. The only con its that the cosmo black bridge it its paint peel when you play very hard in concerts.

Comments about Ibanez Iron label RG Series RGIT20FE Electric Guitar:

I own 7 guitars. This is my second rg series(other is rg321mh). One is a schecter damien platinum 6. That is the only one that compares. Dont know that you will get a better guitar without spending thousands. I have a wide variety of pick up and humbucker combos. I was searching for a 24 fret guitar with 81/60s. Also with just a single tone and volume knob. The 81/60 emg's are an awesome combo for heavy rock, metal, etc. i also play classic just fine with them. This guitar looks great, sounds great and plays even better. The neck is smooth. The jumbo frets are great for speed. Stays in tune good. GREAT guitar. My favorite yet.

HOWEVER. I was tossing up the fender strat jim root edition in white. The only reason i didnt chose that guitar was the 22 vs 24 fret. Sometimes i wish i did. Although very different. Its a big toss up to me between the fender strat neck feel and the ibanez rg series. ONLY negative on this rg, location of the pickup switch. usually only happens if i have it on the neck pickup, but ill wind up clicking it down every so often.
