Comments about Ibanez IJX25 Electric Guitar Jumpstart Package:

Unhappy that we received the strings on guitar already dmgd. Also, unhappy that the promo
Code for unknown reason couldn't be used. The promotion code on main page doesn't state restrictions & when called customer service the person who answered though was kind couldn't help. 1st time user of musician's friend and last.

First Guitar

Comments about Ibanez IJX25 Electric Guitar Jumpstart Package:

When I was a teenager I played a little bass and haven't touched an instrument in about 20 years until I decided to learn guitar. I purchased this setup because it had everything needed to begin and the cost was really good. I have to say I have been very please with it. I did buy a Boss distortion pedal, but overall the sound is solid for a starter guitar. I've been self teaching for about 6 months on and off and now that I can play some actual songs (at least rhythmn parts), I'm looking at spending some bucks on a nice Epiphone. I'm going to give this one to my nine yr old and try to get him interested in learning too.

best thing since a humbucker

Comments about Ibanez IJX25 Electric Guitar Jumpstart Package:

dont be fooled by it being a starter pack, this guitar is amazing, i got this as my second guitar used so i didnt get the accesories, but knowing ibanez amps it must sound killer. the guitar is a good weight, its just slightly heavier than my strat, the pickups can overdrive my amp in clean and give me a very nice heavy metal sound. the neck pickup is a little muddy and rumbly on low end, it soundd good for Back Sabbath or AC/DC. both pickups together sound really good for solos. the bridge pickup has a good tight sound, very articulate, decent harmonics, about double than that of my starcaster by fender strat(and yes, it is a strat, its a beginner pack like this one). the magnets are ceramic which mean more output for less money. the only problem was the tuners, they were extremely loose, i had to tighten them the day i got it because it wouldnt stay in tune for 2 seconds, but that was the only problem, overall this is a good guitar for begginers to intermediate players like myself, highly recomend this.
