Not bad...but......

By stevo

Comments about Ibanez ICB200 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:

I've had my IceMan Bass for a couple of years now. I also have a Fender HotRod P Bass. I bought the IceMan because I had read about it and liked the design. Plus I didn't want to fork out another $1000 plus for another bass. I love the lows that you get with it. Thin neck with good action make it a joy to play. On the down side, I hate the fact that it is neck heavy. When you let go of the neck, it wants to slam to the stage. You have to hold it up while you play. I play with a pick, so when I hit an upstroke on the top E string it isn't a powerful sound like the down stroke. Other than that, it's a good bass for the money. I'll stick with my Fender for my primary instrument.

I'm shocked!!!

Comments about Ibanez ICB200 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:

I've owned and played many basses in my life.Ric 4001s',Fenders,old Kramers,A custom ESP Forest bass prototype I bought in 1992.I was walking through G.C.and noticed this bass. As inexpensive as it was tagged for and being an import I had very low expectations initially. After playing it on a couple of different visits,I bought it.This thing is lightning fast! The pickups are super clean sounding . As much as I can't believe I'm saying it,THIS is the most playable bass I've ever touched. It neck dives a little but changing the lower strap button position a little takes care of most of that.Serious bang for yer buck dude!!

More Versatile than you think

Comments about Ibanez ICB200 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:

Iv'e owned this bass for over a year and apsolutly love it. When I baught I was into metal but now I like jazz. So I thought I would have trouble with this bass, however put some flatwounds on it, crank up the bass and you've go a rich jazz bass. However th pick ups fall through easily and the strap buttons are placed odly(GET STRAP LOCKS).The only bass for me

The Iceman!

By Gaston Reboredo III

from Weston, FL

Comments about Ibanez ICB200 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:

I used to think Ibanez was a brand exclusively for rock and metal players, since the only musicians I ever saw playing an Ibanez guitar or bass were in rock and metal bands (such as KoRn and Shadows Fall). That being said, I have been playing a Fender Jazz bass for a few months now, thinking that Fender was the creme de la creme. Then I played the Ibanez Iceman. Not only can this baby play some of the heaviest riffs around, but you can also play classical and jazz. This just might be my next bass!

Comments about Ibanez ICB200 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:

this bass is incredible i tried the both the thunderbird and this they both have an amazing play both have great tones the differences though other then obvious this bass is much more light weight and the thunderbird's highs unfortunetly suck it has great lows but the higher u go the worse it gets so this is definetly the better pick but if u want somethin that tops both of these go Warwick Corvettes, best bass's out there,no joke!

Mother Of Bass

By BassBlower2000

Comments about Ibanez ICB200 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:

I was a previous owner of an Icb bass and i have to tell you that it was inccredibale. GAllien-Krueger cabs really help extend the influencial sound of this bass. Containing a 22 fret neck made of maple and a mahogany body; the tone EXPLODES from this amazing bass. To sum it up....INCREDIBLE!! try it out.

ABSOLUTE BONE CRUSHER

By MADMOFO MIKE

from Chesterton IN

Comments about Ibanez ICB200 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:

The iceman bass is absolutely the most dark sounding bass i have ever owned. i run mine thru an ampeg svt3 pro head with an 8x10 cab. of course the tubes bring the passiveness of the iceman's pickups to absolute aggressiveness. It also has very low action and the strings are spaced apart just right. the ibanez iceman bass is definately a monster force to have on hand in any backline. The only things i disliked about this bass is that there is no binding around the body(like going to a wedding without a suit on) and it only comes in a vintage brown sunburst color. Green metellic or Gunmetal with binding would be great!!!!! And maybe a 5string version??
