Having trouble fitting in? If it's because you're pierced and tattooed and attend a prepped out conservative school far from urban areas, we can't help you. If it's because you need a smaller bass for the tour bus or running scales in cramped quarters, we can. The Ibanez Mikro electric bass offers anyone who needs a compact axe or the comfort of a smaller neck (most especially young rockers) a real alternative to small bass guitars that are really only toys.
Case sold separately.

I was truly amazed at how nice this guitar is and plays. I have been playing guitar for over 30 years. I wanted to get my kids into playing a stringed instrument. My boys are ages 8,10 & 12. All three have been able to pick it up and start playing...(with a little instructional help from me) For the money, this guitar is excellent. I like it so much that I am considering buying one for my studio to record with. The sound is great and the best part about it is that you can tune it. In my experience, you get what you pay for. I have looked at purchasing 6 string micro guitars in the past and never bought any because the intonation was always off. I could never tune them up out of the box. I would have to spend additional money to have it set up properly or do it myself. The Micro Bass by Ibanez sounds great right out of the box. My boys are loving it.

A little rough around the edges but overall a great bass. The neck and fretboard were very, very dry feeling until I used mineral oil (baby oil) to give them a better feel. This bass has a true low sound on the neck pick up ( p-bass style split). At a recent jam session, someone recorded us with a one point stereo mic and the bass was so strong that it blew out the recording. Guess I will have to play softer. Love the even shorter short scale of 28.6" Guitar licks and scales transfer over much easier, as I am playing both guitar and bass regularly at the moment.

I have the 4 & 5 string versions of this and they have never let me down. I perform with several groups playing everything from Jazz, Blues, Funk, Rock, Country, & even using in a church contemporary service. The different tones & sounds that come out this instrument are amazing. Ibanez, the shorter musicians of the world thank you.
Great beginner's bass! Short neck makes it easy to not only reach the top of the neck, also makes getting used to the position of the frets a lot easier. Great price, sounds great and even better feels great.
This is for my 10 year old son and he loves it. Great guitar for the price. The finish is very nice and he loves the color. It is also the right size for him.
I'm brand new to bass playing (tho' I have experience with guitar and ukulele) and it's true - this is a nice, basic bass. I am female and have smallish hands so it's really perfect. The price was great, it's much lighter than other basses, but solid. I'm so glad I got this one. Love the bright blue color!!
This is a good instrument for a beginner or someone who wants to play bass on the side. The E string sound is a little buzzy and a pro. would want something a little more substantial. The short length is great for folks with small hands, like kids or petite women. It fits in a regular size electric guitar case. It didn't fit at all in the regular bass guitar cases - they were much too long. Finding replacement strings was a little bit of a trick and the salesman had to search for short strings. There was one set that fit. It's a nice instrument for the price.
I am a beginner bass player (a few months now)and have just recently purchased the Ibanez Mikro Short scale bass and it is awesome! A friend let me borrow his Squire Bronco and though it was a nice, I found it a bit too big for me. I am a "little woman", 5 feet tall with small hands and I found that the Mikro was a prefect fit for me. I purchased it in black and was so pleased to see that the quality surpassed my expectation considering the reasonable price. It looks great and the has a great sound quality. Great purchase for the money.
This is the 2nd bass I have, My 1st one is a dean edge. , This one is easier for me to play. It sounds great through my line 6. I think it will sound better through a FENDER RUMBLE 30w witch i hope to be getting one soon. If you are thinking about starting to play bass. This is the one for you. It sounds great, looks cool and the price just right.
No complaints, especially for the price. Great sound, balance and feel. Excellent fit and finish. Got it for my wife who needed the short scale neck. She loves it. Loved the order process. Ordered online and had shipped to the store near us.
i have had expirence with bass and this one is particularly great. the strings that are on are good, the sound is great, and the size is great for beginners as well as an expirenced player. i recommend this bass if you decide to switch to bass from guitar
I have been playing gospel music for about 20 yrs. and have gone through a number of instrumnets. Currently I use a strat and Ibanez artcore for both practice and performing. But I have an 8 y/o grandson that I wanted to introduce to bass playing. I came across this Mikro Bass from Ibanez and bought it on line. My very first impression was... WOW! How could they get such little guy to sound so big? It plays very easily going through riffs, and it feels like it sounds, good! Folks, this is not a toy, I promise you!
