I've only had this bass for a couple of weeks now and it's proved to be great. Just getting back into playing, I wanted to try a 5 string all I've ever known is a 4 string. I can say that I was very impressed with the sound and quallity of the Ibanez even at such a low price. I would recomend this bass to other people who want to try a 5 string for the first time.
I was pleasantly surprised by how well this Ibanez bass plays! It is definitely the best bass for the price if you enjoy playing any type of rock, (especially metal!) The pickups sound fairly good and give you the deep sound bassists crave. The addition of the 5th string really complements the guitar as well!
This is honestly one of the best 5-strings you can get for your money. Body is very balanced, and has a wide range of tone. Great for any style of music. However, if you are not on a budget, an upgrade would probably be the best way to go. Overall though, definitely a great bass for just 300.
This bass is such a well made product. People have picked mine up and played it, and didn't believe the price I told them. I have it running through my Gallien-Krueger 1X15 and 4X10 full stack. Its as punch, clarity, and if you roll back the tone can get a mellow sound. It is truly a great bass.
if you're starting bass and you're on a budget, ibanez is definitely what you're looking for. I played this thing for three years taking it all around and I just recently upgraded to a fender. It had a really good run. I couldn't be more pleased with a bass that I bought for this price
I bought this for my 15 year old son when he expressed an interest in learning to play bass. I bought this because I figured if he lost interest it was low priced and I wouldn't be out a big investment. Surprisingly he has stuck with it and it has a good sound for an inexpensive bass and he's growing into it instaed of out of it.
I used this at the store, and even then it had a decent set-up. The tone is not bad. It's a great starter bass.
