My father got this on sale at GC. It's a decent guitar. The neck is fatter, but it plays okay. It definitely holds tune well. However, someone knocked it over once and the neck is cracked now. And that was from falling on carpet! I've banged around my share of guitars but never have a had a neck crack on one. The wood just chips right off on the neck now. This just leads me to believe it's cheap material.

Sweet Sound great Deal!

By Robert Thibault

from Tiverton, RI

Comments about Ibanez GD10 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I bought this Guitar not sure what to expect being refurbished and all, I was blown away at how clean and polished the Guitar came right out of the box. It has 1 very small ding on the back not anything you would even notice if you were not looking for it, Guitar was still in tune and sounds fantastic. If you are thinking about buying one do not hesitate. I could not be happier with my purchase.

Cannot beat it for the price.

By Jonathan Kent

from Cumming, Georgia

Comments about Ibanez GD10 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I have bought two of these now. One for myself and one as a gift. It holds tuning really well, great tone and resonance. The neck is everything I would expect from Ibanez, the only thing I did to mine was oiling the fretboard when I replaced the strings (preference more than necessity).

Nice after getting the action lowered.

By tim list

from Dayton Ohio

Comments about Ibanez GD10 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

This is much easier to play after getting the action lowered. As a beginner, take the time and have the action lowered so you can learn without as much finger pain and frustration. My music teacher says this is a nice guitar and likes it. Didn't tell him how much I paid.

Ibanez GD10 Dreadnought

By Sarah Garcia

from California

Comments about Ibanez GD10 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

If you're on the smaller side like me, this guitar is a little difficult to play with a bigger body and neck. It's a nice practice guitar or guitar for beginners. If you have smaller hands, like me, I recommend getting the action lowered to make it easier to play. Overall, it's a great guitar and has lasted me a while now with almost no troubles. If you're not a hardcore player, this guitar is nice and simple. For the price, I'm pretty satisfied.

Good buy

By Andrew

Comments about Ibanez GD10 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

Good acoustic guitar. This is the first and only acoustic guitar I have ever bought. Bought it roughly 6 months ago at a Guitar Center store. I quickly noticed a very faint hairline crack going from around the 7th fret to the 9th; i could have caused that as my fingernails occasionally scratch the fretboard while bending strings. No big deal at all as it is not physically overt unless closely examined, and also it does not effect the sound in a negative way at all. A few fret buzzes and dead notes here and there but they have only surfaced once for a short period of time and haven't returned. Overall this is a good buy for the price.

Sweet guitar! Great buy!

By Brad

from Trenton, Ohio

Comments about Ibanez GD10 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

Received this guitar as a gift for Christmas thinking that it would be cheap and disposable...boy was i wrong...I set this baby up with a few truss rod adjustments and BAM great guitar. This guitar truly does have deep clear low notes and bright vibrant high ones. Great build quality and comes factory with D'addario strings. This amazing purchase also comes with a gig bag and a stand (no strap though...boo). Buy this guitar!

Great guitar

By Ben

from matthews nc

Comments about Ibanez GD10 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I wanted to buy a cheap starter guitar for my 8 year old girl. I did not want to buy a super cheap guitar because it would sound so bad it would discourage her. I went to GC on black friday and picked this one up expecting it to be junk, but i was really surprised at how good it sounded and smoothly it played! I bought two of them that day. I plan to file down the rough edges of the frets, oil the fingerboard, and re-string it with light gauge strings. Don't let the low price fool you...this is a good guitar.

Can't beat it for the price

By Sandy Johnson

from California

Comments about Ibanez GD10 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I was looking for a simple beach guitar to mess around with and not worry about damaging. I bought this guitar on sale from GC for $89. For the price you can't beat it. The action was set up perfectly right out of the box, and the intonation is spot on. I've been playing for 12 years have a $2000 Martin at home, but this guitar is perfect for beginners or playing by a campfire or at the beach.

Just at my dad house and he told me to go to my room and check out your gift. And he brought me a Ibanes GD10 acoustic guitar dreadnought so excited. Not amazing about the strings because it go out tune faster. So I got to by me some strings at guitar center.

    Impressed

    By Albert Reiman

    from Humansville Mo.

Comments about Ibanez GD10 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

Mine came out of the box ready to go. Great tone frets easy even on bar chords. The action is set high enough for a slide. This is my second Ibanez I bought a AF75 electric hollow body this summer supper impressed with it. Ibanez seems to be a good product at affordable price and I will check out Ibanez first on future purchases.

I received this guitar for Christmas when I was 14 years old. I'm 24 now and I still play it everyday. I got mine in a jam pack, so the price was a little more but it's well worth the price. After countless hours and close to a hundred sets of strings later, it still sounds and plays great.

      By Jack Guthrie

      from Lowell, Arkansas

Comments about Ibanez GD10 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

Good tone, tuning holds up fairly well. My only complaint is the bottom fret edges were a little sharp, nothing I couldn't fix with a fret file. Action & intonation pretty good.

The 2nd fret and 3rd fret make a buzzing sound when you press the string on a fret before them, for example if I press any string on the 2nd fret the guitar will buzz. Everything else is great, I probably just got a bit unlucky.

After seeing this guitar on sale in the store, I bought one for my son as his first acoustic. When we tested it out to see how it sounded in the store, I was very pleasantly surprised. I just assumed I would start to notice annoyances days after we brought it home, but so far, everything is still great. It holds it tune well and, in my opinion, sounds great for a cheaper guitar. I have a feeling my son will have this guitar for years to come.

Comments about Ibanez GD10 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

Great guitar for the price, got it as a replacement for my slowly coming apart Huntington dreadnought (do not recommend huntington, doesn't last long before major construction fail). It has a nice edgy bright sound, but all the volume of an auditorium body. I don't like the strings that came with it, they are twangy and low quality, but that's a cheap fix and the problem disappeared after re-string, so it wasn't the construction of the instrument. I had to have the action lowered some because I've got weak, tiny hands, but it's SO easy to play now I feel like I cheated or something. Beautiful finish and overall well put together. I tried to find things I didn't like about the guitar, but aside from the string problem (which was a string problem and not a guitar problem) I can't do it. Great buy very happy.

            Ibanez acoustic

            By Philip S.

            from Santa Monica California

Comments about Ibanez GD10 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

Great price, could find no faults with the finish, a vrry nice way to start playing guitar. I replaced the pins because the originals had no slot in them and made changing the strings difficult. Had to use a pair of wire cutters just to get them out. My only othe complaint is the frets are a little sharp on the high side of the neck. For about $100 dollars you can not go wrong. Sound and playability are fine even came with an extra saddle in case you want to mess with the string height..
