I purchased this guitar back in May (I tried out about 5 or 6 other guitars before choosing this one). I wanted to wait before writing any kind of review until I got a lot of playing time with this guitar. Well, I just couldn't hold out any more. I HAVE to tell you how amazing this guitar sounds. The tone of the guitar is great just the way it's sold. A week later, though, I changed the strings for Elixir Nanoweb Light gauge and... WOW!!! I couldn't believe the sound that came out of this thing! The tone was amazing! The feel of this guitar is just as impressive. And the guitar is beautiful. The pictures on the web site do not do it justice! I used it at a gig a few days ago and I was approached by a couple of professional musicians who wanted to know what kind of guitar I was using because they were so impressed with the sound of it. I HIGHLY recommend this guitar! If anyone else owns this guitar, please write a review. I would love to hear your opinion.

    Ibanez Strikes Again

    By Kevin

    from Kent, WA

This guitar I just purchased yesterday, and it is by far my favorite guitar of the 4 I have. The bass end of the guitar, when switched for new strings, is beautiful and clear, no buzzing on any frets and the sound quality is amazing. The built in tuner is very handy and does so far hasn't missed any tune. The body is elegant and by far the most beautiful guitar I have had. Thanks Ibanez!!

    GET IT !!!

    By Pam

    from MICHIGAN

This guitar is beautiful to look at, the wood is breathtaking, also has nice purfling around the edges. It plays well in all ranges and has a really full mellow tone. If you use your amp and built in controls on guitar you can get any sound out of it that you want, but it really plays well as just an accoustic too. It's overtones are really luscious (it's almost like playing a twelve string in tone)just really rich in quality. I played a similarly priced Dean and there was really no comparison- no difficult choice here -hung the Dean back on the wall and left it. I like the fact that it has a built in tuner which is very easy to use. Also, you can plug in with a jack or XLR cord. I love this guitar -can't wait to show it off some more. GET IT -the sound you get for the price you pay is worth it-you won't be dissappointed.

I bought my exotic wood guitar about a month ago. played through the pa board. Extremely mellow sound. I also played through acoustic amps. the sound is pristine. THE African zebrawood guitar is most attractive guitar i have played. the excellent addition to a real band.

    Great Beauty!!!

I got this guitar a few weeks ago. I have used it in 2 gigs so far. This guitar is a beauty to look at and play. It sounds great plugged and unplugged!! Great guitar for those looking to upgrade. I had an ovation before this one and wanted something that had a fuller sound. I made the right choice in this beauty! I love the electronics as well! Simple, Nice Design and works like a charm. Price is GREAT! Sound is GREAT! The whole package is...yep...GREAT!!

    The Best Acoustic/Electric I've Owned

    By Richard Jansen

    from Knoxville, TN

I first saw the Ibanez Montage at Guitar Center in Knoxville, TN. As with any guitar, looks is the first thing that attracts you to one. But the most important thing is how it plays and feels in your hands, so I pulled it down from the wall to try it and I was even more impressed by how it played than by its looks. The neck is easy to grasp and the strings were close to the fret board. The acoustic sound without an amp was much stronger and fuller than I would have thought. I was worried about all the electronics on the guitar because the more things there are to play with, the more something could go wrong. I initially passed it up because of that and ordered another Ibanez instead and was totally disappointed when it arrived because of the feel. I took it back to Guitar Center and they gave me full credit on the return. I decided to take the plunge and ordered the Ibanez Montage. Since it arrived I have been playing more often because I have difficulty letting it sit on my guitar stand when I walk by it. Its hard to look at without picking it up to play it. I am so glad I made the move to get this guitar. No problems with the electronics so far and an absolute joy to play. I get wonderful comments on its looks and even more when I plug it in to my amp. The variety of sounds it produces is awesome and I couldn't have made a better choice. I feel I have gotten even more than my money's worth on this guitar and can honestly say that it is "hands down" the best acoustic guitar I have ever owned. It feels better every time I play it. Thanks Ibanez!
