The Ibanez Euphoria Steve Vai Signature Acoustic Electric Guitar is best summed up by the Mr. Vai himself: "The new Euphoria is made to be sleek and thin with a large acoustic-electric sound. Its size gives it a bright crisp tone that allows it to sit on top of a mix."-Steve Vai

The Euphoria has a thinline body for comfort and feedback resistance. It's made of mahogany with a solid engelmann spruce top for a bright, articulate acoustic sound. Appointments include an original rosette design, rosewood bridge and fretboard, and Ivorex II nut and saddle for increased focus and sustain. A special "Vai" 12th fret inlay gives just the right touch to the fretboard.

Includes the Fishman Sonicore Pickup and Ibanez AEQ210TF preamp, designed especially for thin bodies. Its simple 2-band control makes adjusting the sound easy and provides plenty of bottom. A phase switch for reducing feedback and a user-friendly onboard tuner are also provided.

Awesome for the price

By Louis Larios

from Topsham Maine

The Ibanez Euphoria Steve Vai Signature Acoustic-Electric Guitar value is very good for the price. The headstock had a small ding in the back, but was not worth returning it for. The guitar is well made with great attention to detail. The fret edging was smooth up until the higher registers near the cutaway. The neck is fast like an electric. There are no fret markers, but I soon lost notice after playing well known music. Features: beautiful black metallic finish, easy access to the upper registers, adequate electronics, battery compartment in great location with easy access, built in tuner not responsive and takes a while to home in. At a gig I would be losing time tuning up. Acoustically the sound is very nice & bright like it was designed to be. Not as loud as my Ovation, but will cut through when soloing. Electrically the sound is magnificant, no honk nor snap, just a clean bright chimey sound. The body feel is very comfortable and neck feel is light & fast. It come without a case, but fit nicely in my classic guitar "Fort" expanded polypropylene "EPP" case made in Canada by the Godin Co. There is a lot of value for the money with this guitar.

The perfect acoustic for electric players!

By dustin sharp

As someone who learned to play on electric guitars, I dare say this is the ideal acoustic guitar. It's body is slim, so it's not nearly as cumbersome as traditional acoustic guitars, yet it retains a deep rich sound. I think the body is maybe an inch thicker than an Ibanez electric guitar. The neck is basically an electric guitar neck, not as thick as your average acoustic making it comfortable with fast playability. And with the cutaway the small frets are easily reachable. I didn't buy mine to hook into an amp, more just to practice without needing to go to the amp, but it sounds great on my amps clean channel. And again the guitar sounds amazing, it has that clean, deep tone you expect from a really nice acoustic guitar. The built in tuner is also very nice to have for beginners(took me a long time to be able to tune by ear). Only complaint is that out of the box the action was a little high for my taste, but a quick truss rod adjustment set that right. I don't have to mash down on the frets to play, as I often find myself doing with acoustics. For those electric players looking for the right acoustic guitar for your arsenal, look no further. At half the price of it's big brother, the only changes being asthetic, and slightly lesser pickups for the electric section, this is a great buy!

This is a great guitar. The first time I heard it I knew I had to buy it. The sound is exceptional, it sounds like a guitar that costs five times the amount I paid. The pre-amp is exceptional, and the tuner is a great added bonus. I would recomend it to anyone looking for an acoustic or electric acoustic.
