Overview

Here's something new in true analog delay pedals, the Ibanez Echo Shifter (ES2). Along with the expected Feedback, Mix, and Depth knobs, the Delay Tim control is on a fader. This, along with a pair of dipswitches that engage and defeat Modulation and Oscillation give the ES2 a character all its own. Ibanez combines true analog sound quality with digital-like flexibility; features like a tap-tempo footswitch, allowing on-the-fly tempo adjustment (a rarity among analog stompboxes).

Comments about Ibanez Echo Shifter Analog Delay with Modulation Guitar Effects Pedal:

I play some kind of experimental rock, and hard rock, and I use this delay as my principal/lead delay on my Hammond style organ, and my guitar, its the best one since it can be used as a modulation, and yet have some "analog" style delay.

      Me Gusta (usta, usta, ustaaaaa)

      By Bob Saget

Comments about Ibanez Echo Shifter Analog Delay with Modulation Guitar Effects Pedal:

This pedal gets the job done and doesn't fuss about it. The in/out is solid, the build quality feels sturdy, and also looks pretty on my board. Even after a couple years of me flipping the toggle switches with my toes, the thing still works, no problems. It also sounds great (I play through an AC15 with several other pedals). The oscillation switch gives some pretty cool feedback when you mess with the delay time slider, and the modulation switch is a cool chorus-ish bonus (I don't use it much), and the tap tempo takes some getting used to, but practice makes perfect. I'm not going to sit here and say it's the best sounding echo pedal ever, but it does what the description says, doesn't suck out or change tone, and does it all for a fair price. I've never understood some of people's hate towards Ibanez's products, but we'll leave that discussion somewhere else. Bottomline, this pedal works and sounds great; if you're looking for a solid echo pedal, I'd definitely suggest looking towards this one.

Buyer beware, 6 months use, then trash

Comments about Ibanez Echo Shifter Analog Delay with Modulation Guitar Effects Pedal:

I bought this delay about six months ago, and after that six months of delicate use at my church, the thing won't work. It still lights up and does the tap and all that but it will not put sound out. It seems to me that a pedal at this price point should last waaaaay longer than six months. Bad product/design....I WOULDN'T BUY IT AGAIN! And I also don't feel I should have to repair or have anything on the pedal repaired after this short period of use.
