Overview

There are a lot of guitars to choose from. The Ibanez EWC30ASERLG EXOTIC WOOD SERIES Acoustic-Electric Guitar is different. Singular in looks and sound because it's made from exotic figured ash. The compact mini-body size gives total comfort and easy playability. The grain patterns are striking. It's amazing to find an exotic wood guitar in this price range.

For faithful reproduction of acoustic tone, a B-Band UST pickup is paired with the Ibanez SRTn preamp with notch filter and an onboard tuner. Tune anytime, anywhere. You'll also be ready for whatever connections are available; the EWC30ASERLG is equipped with balanced 1/4" and XLR outputs.

Paired with the fine wood are high-end cosmetic appointments also found on guitars costing much more: an abalone rosette, Ibanez chrome die-cast tuners and a natural high-gloss finish. If you've been holding back on an acoustic guitar purchase because you haven't found the right features at the right price, your wait is over.

sweetness and warmth

Comments about Ibanez EWC30ASERLG EXOTIC WOOD SERIES Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

this guitar has great sound for the price and the cosmetics are just stunning. i love the on-board tuner, i can change my tuning without having to plug in or tune to someone else. the only thing i don't like about it is that it has bridge pins. i'd rather have a through-bridge than pins, because they slip.

Smooth, warm, and rich sound

By Greg

from Central NC

Comments about Ibanez EWC30ASERLG EXOTIC WOOD SERIES Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I'm a Sunday player - that is, I play at church almost every week, and it's not playing toned down quiet hymns in depressing minor keys. For electric stuff I use my LP but for acoustic I was trying to find the perfect guitar. I sat at Sam Ash for about an hour and a half test driving one guitar after another and kept going back to this one for quality of sound. It's not tinny, it's smooth, it's not harsh sounding, but rich and warm, unlike many of the guitars I tried that day (including the deeper bodied, prettier looking EWC20 series) and the on board controls make it that much better sounding when plugged in. For the price, it doesn't get any better - but if you can afford a Taylor or a Martin, that's up to you. This was the perfect guitar for me for the price.

Awesome Guitar!!!

Comments about Ibanez EWC30ASERLG EXOTIC WOOD SERIES Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I am a beginning guitarist and I picked this guitar up on President's Day. I am not that skilled, but I had outgrown my Fender acoustic. This guitar is top-notch and nothing is skimped on. It has a real deep, rich tone. It is good for finger picking. It has a real comfortable neck and the onboard controls work flawlessly. The finish is stunning and I recommend this guitar to beginners and experts alike!!!

Ideal Stage Guitar

By ward

Comments about Ibanez EWC30ASERLG EXOTIC WOOD SERIES Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This thing is AWESOME. Where do I start... I guess the thing I am most satisfied with is the playability. Throw some good light strings on there (most Ibanez acoustics are set up for lights, i use d'addario) and it is a dream to play. And the electronics are amazing. The PA output is very convenient on stage. And to top it all off, its a real looker. No one has a guitar prettier than yours when you show it off on stage. Bravo, Ibanez.

In love

Comments about Ibanez EWC30ASERLG EXOTIC WOOD SERIES Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I received this guitar as a gift from my worship team today at church. I've been playing guitar for years and I am overly picky concerning the sound of the guitars I choose to play. I have expensive tastes for my budget and I'm definitely a guitar snob. 1. It's unbelievably gorgeous! I haven't seen a more beautiful guitar. 2. The sound is amazing. Has FANTASTIC resonance and the low action is great! The bass goes on for days and even the effects sound great! 3. This guitar makes it easy to EQ it on a board, it naturally has a fantastic bright (but not cheap or cheesy) tone and has a great bass end. It makes perfecting it's sound through a system super easy! I would 100% recommend it... to anyone :)

Budget Beauty

By Gregory Dearth

from Fredericksburg, VA

Comments about Ibanez EWC30ASERLG EXOTIC WOOD SERIES Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar was an unintentional purchase. It tricked me into buying it on a recent trip to Guitar Center for several reasons. 1. It is gorgeous. The wood is absolutely perfect. The high gloss finish makes this a work of art. No fret marks on the rosewood board is nice, especially since you have the dots on the side. A pretty emblem is the only thing interrupting the dark fretboard. 2. Sounds amazing. With no set-up, the strings are pretty well placed for a low action response. The sound is bright but not cheap. There is bass for days (the guitar's shape is closer to a bass guitar's). With no dead frets or twangy frets, we did not even bother setting it up. The sound remains clear and has a natural sustain even in the high registers, which are easily accessible due to the style of the body near the higher frets. 3. The electronics are great. The simple interface offers a tuner that is very accurate, if a bit over-sensitive. The basic 'treble-mid-bass' eq is ok, but the chorus is actually quite good. There is even an anti-feedback frequency slider. 4. Price. Usually when I see a guitar I like I know I cannot afford it before I even check the price tag. I have good taste. This one shocked me (in a good way) with the price that is half what I expected to see for a guitar of this quality. Negatives? I cannot think of much, though if one is used to a cheap low-end guitar, this one will take some getting used to as it is weighty, big, and has long neck. This is not a negative really, though you might consider a cheaper and lighter guitar for a beginner.

Decent guitar for the money

By adam

Comments about Ibanez EWC30ASERLG EXOTIC WOOD SERIES Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I baught this guitar a year ago. I did have some problems with the jack shorting out because I baught the floor model. I did not have the best service from guitar center to get this fixed. In fact it took them 3 months to get the guitar fixed due to them not sending it out for repairs for 3 weeks and it sitting there. But once I did get it back I was very pleased. For a mid to low end guitar it has great sound when plugged into an amp. The tuner is pretty accurate. It hold tune pretty well. The electronics are holding up better than I ever thought. Its a great gig guitar. Cheap enough to bang around from gig to gig, and professional enough to provide the sound you need. I would buy it again.

Comments about Ibanez EWC30ASERLG EXOTIC WOOD SERIES Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar a year ago and have yet to find a complaint. I get a lot of complements on the look and even more about the sound. The action is great and plays best with light strings. The onboard tuner is really easy to use and very accurate. I would recommend it to anyone
