The EWN28BGENT Cutaway Nylon String Acoustic-Electric is a more compact member of Ibanez Exotic Wood series guitars. It features a body that's smaller in size and shallower in depth for increased comfort and acoustic projection. With a narrow neck width the EWN28BGENT is perfect for players who find typical classical guitar necks too wide and the soft cutaway provides complete fretboard access. Aesthetic features include a gorgeous bubinga wood body, a strikingly beautiful laser engraved wood rosette, mahogany binding, and gold open gear tuning machines. You won't find anything else quite like the Ibanez EW guitars ” even among guitars that are much more expensive.
The EWN28BGENT is fully equipped for both acoustic and electric performance with an ultra thin B-Band UST (under-the-saddle) pickup and the Ibanez SRTn Preamp. The B-Band UST pickup has a wide dynamic range and reproduces original tones without affecting the instrument acoustically. The SRTn's notch filter-equipped feedback reduction system allows high loud sound levels before feedback. Control adjustments are simple and easy to use, and tuning is a snap thanks to the onboard tuner. The EWN28BGENT has a 1/4" output jack, and a balanced XLR jack for direct PA connection. Operates on standard AA batteries.

I bought this guitar because my guitar teacher has one. It sounds so great! I love the preamp so much! My only complaint for this guitar is the fixed bridge saddles. Mine came with terrible intonation and I couldn't move the saddles! now I just have to deal with the octaves being sharp... Other than that it is a good classical guitar.
This guitar is really nice looking - the bubinga grain patterns are striking. Ibanez does a pretty good job with the finish. It is a bit thick but even. The sound was a bit muted but I expected that from the small body. It came with normal tension strings. After installing D'Addario Pro Arte Composite High Tensions, the sound is great. Intonation is fine, and the guitar is pretty easy to play. The electronic sound is great from an amp, and can be set up pretty natural sounding. I do wish they had put a radius on the neck, but overall this is a real good value for the price range.
