Comments about Ibanez Artwood Series AC240EOP Grand Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I was looking for a smaller bodied acoustic electric for recording purposes when I came across this guitar from musicians friend. It plays beautifully and with almost no effort. I like the plain mahogany wood from my other glossy acoustics. I Ibanez hit a home run with this little gem. I was considering a Taylor for a few hundred more but the reviews for this Ibanez were all positive so I took a leap of faith. I wonder how much a case would be ?

Comments about Ibanez Artwood Series AC240EOP Grand Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

i ordered one and it arrived, but the wood grain looked weird so i sent it back to get one that looked more like the picture, so don't think you're going to get the EXACT guitar you are thinking of.

this guitar reminded me of playing a Taylor acoustic. the quality and tone are near the same but for a fraction of the price of a taylor. also, the built in tuner and the XLR input make performances more convenient.

Comments about Ibanez Artwood Series AC240EOP Grand Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I looked at this guitar for one reason - fingerpicking! The neck at the nut is 45mm or ~1/16" wider than most guitars (all steel-string Ovations that I've played and owned). Someday I would like a D18 with its wide, beautiful neck, but in the meantime this guitar has turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I've used it live and enjoyed the sound with little signal processing. Without being plugged in, the sound is good, but the body does not project a full acoustic sound (low end is lacking) but plugged in you can compensate for this. The action on the model I own is a little high as I move up the neck, so I'll be taking it to a luthier to see if it can be adjusted. The neck is great; straight, but a little thick. I would suggest that you play it before you dismiss this guitar. This is not like many of the other Ibanez acoustic/electrics in this price range. I am thinking of getting another one for alternate tunings. I consider this a good value for the money.

Comments about Ibanez Artwood Series AC240EOP Grand Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

To add to previous review. The longer I have it the more I love it. MY AC240 EOP came with an extra compensated saddle. I removed the existing one along with the spacer under the saddle and replaced it with the lower saddle and the action is perfect for me. So easy and no sanding down a saddle is necessary. Now at the 12th fret the action is about the width of a a nickel. I like the fact that its a little smaller than most, with a big sound and a wider nut width. Also came with a truss rod tool which has not been needed yet. Ibanez has really done a great job on this one. For a pro or just for fun , this one is for sure a keeper. Buy it and you will not regret it.

Comments about Ibanez Artwood Series AC240EOP Grand Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have played much more expensive guitars and for the money this one is awesome. I don't like where they put the forward strap button, but that's an easy fix. I like the XLR output. I was surprised to get this guitar off the UPS truck on a 93 degree day and open it to find only one string slightly out of tune. Thanks to MF for fast delivery.

This guitar should cost much more

      By Joshua Myers

      from Samson Alabama

Comments about Ibanez Artwood Series AC240EOP Grand Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

If you are thinking about buying this guitar...... DO IT! I was in the Montgomery Guitar center playing a Martin. I had talked myself into buying the Martin. There was one other guy in the guitar room with me. (Note to self, use your inner monologue voice when at Guitar Center) Over about 30 minutes I kept describing how wonderful the Martin was and how great it played. I told the guy in there that I was going to buy it and that I had to go get my wife from the store a few doors down. I was gone for maybe 8 minutes. Upon my return to Guitar Center, the other random guy that was in the guitar room with me was walking out the door with the Martin I wanted..... Guitar Center owes me a commission. So with much disappointment I looked at the other guitars and picked this one up and strummed it a little. I loved the looks of the guitar but was still really bummed about the Martin. I went home without buying a guitar. Over the next couple of days I kept looking at this Artwood online. The looks just pulled me in; so I bought it. I have never regretted it. I LOVE this guitar. This guitar is much more than the Martin I was playing. Amazing sound, feel, looks, harmonics, playability. And it is made from real mahogany wood. I really think Ibanez made this guitar especially for me. It has everything I ever wanted in a guitar. Ibanez, with this guitar you have made a lifelong customer. Again just to recap; Buy this guitar, and use you inner monologue at Guitar Center.

      Very quality guitar! Sound &workmanship

      By mike davis

Comments about Ibanez Artwood Series AC240EOP Grand Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I play a Taylor 816ce daily. I was looking for a road guitar so I could leave the Taylor safe at home. The AW240 with its all mahogany woods, bone nut and saddle made great melodies. From strumming to fingerpicking this is money well spent. I tried a large selection of guitars for my "roadie" and for the money this choice cant be beat. There are lots of guitars out there sure, but to have this many features and sound so good, you can't go wrong. Another note, if your a beginner or an old pro, this guitar in your hands will will make you glad you bought it and play. Check it out for yourself, pick one up and play it, then buy it before its gone of the shelf. You'll be glad you did.
