The Artist is back. Anyone who knows their guitar history will tell you: Ibanez spent much of the 1970s in the role of the prodigious student, building copies of the classics that ultimately exceeded the quality of the originals. The Artist was the first original Ibanez design to prove Ibanez was bent on standing shoulder to shoulder with the industry's giants. Like the classics of yesteryear, the AR620s mahogany body features the first-of-its-kind symmetrical double-cutaway for easier access to the higher frets.
Arguably, it is the biggest leap forward Ibanez made 40 years ago that will be most appreciated by todays player: the Tri-Sound switching system, a unique pickup configuration control that pack this axe with a rich tonal palette. No matter what the setting, the 620s Super 80 Flying Finger pickups deliver smooth, warm, vintage sound that make this Artist a must for fans of classic rock tone.
The 3-piece Maple set-in neck features a lavish pearl tree-of-life inlay, and is expertly joined to the body, finished with a baby-smooth heel. The AR620 is the true path back to one of rocks most dynamic chapters. Hardshell case included.

Comments about Ibanez Artist Expressionist Series AR620 Electric Guitar:
the ebony neck was covered with white water spot runs as though it was wiped with a wet dirty rag and left to dry. That was a big flag coming out of the box. There was also some dark liquid that had dried next to a lot of the frets that had to be removed, my guess would be cover stain to blend poor grain color ebony. There is a number of high frets, it needs to be leveled. The nut needs help, .040 at first fret high E string. Intonation is off the scale on the unwound strings didn't even try to adjust by this time. The finish is flawless. The fret board setup makes it unplayable. Minor setup is expected, this guitar goes way beyond that. The case buckles do not line up well and latching and unlatching is quite difficult.
