What a deal? Wow...

Comments about Ibanez Artcore AS73 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I bought mine a few years ago and was blown away, as were my guitar playing friends, by the quality and playability of this Ibanez. I REALLY wanted a Gibson ES335 but I REALLY didn't want to spend $2500! So I got the AS73 and played it a while as a happy guy. Then I decided to take the leap to upgrade the pickups. I put Gibson '57 Classic and '57 Classic plus in and OMG! Now I have a guitar that is really really close to the Gibson I always wanted.....at a much cheaper cost. I am not kidding...this guitar absolutely cooks now! I may change the pots and wiring and input someday just to finish the electronics upgrade but that may never happen. It's just so good already...

Comments about Ibanez Artcore AS73 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

This is a great guitar! I own a Les Paul, a Fender American Standard Strat, a Tele knockoff, a wonderful Hollowbody Jazz box by De Armond. This Ibanez AS 73 plays better than all- it is set up so fine. The word that I would use to describe it is "precise." When you bend a note, it is really easy to tel if you are bending a step, a half step, or if you are 10% or 20 % away from your target tone. When playing leads, I've never had this experience before, it just sems so precise as to what tones you hit.

As far as the overall sound, it is excellent- very versatile, but definitely more towards a smooth, mellow sound. Especially suited for Blues and Jazz, but it can rock to. The Pups are nice but not super charged like some metal guitars. That doesn't mean it doesn't sound great playing rock with OD and distortion. Just might not be the perfect guitar for Metallica or Def Leppard. But with the right pedals, who knows?

The guitar speaks of quality craftmanship.

I think anyone ordering this guitar would be happy because of the superb tone and the incredible playability. It was set up fine with great action- easy to tune and stays in tune. Several nice features- oversized strap buttons, easy change bridge, and the truss rod cover swings out of the way- what a great idea- no screwdriver needed. And, I think it's one of the handsomest guitars I've ever seen.

Incredible guitar with an incredible price!

Comments about Ibanez Artcore AS73 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

Absolutely beautiful instrument. I wanted something with warmer, thicker tones that I couldnt get from my strat. This did the job and then some...right out of the box. I will replace the 10's with XL120's (9.5's). Guitar Center has incredible shipping! Never a scratch and always arriving within a week! Thanks GC! Herb

Comments about Ibanez Artcore AS73 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I had been looking at Epiphone hollow body guitars and stopped by Guitar Center and took a look at the AS73. I was very happy with the feel of this guitar. Nice neck, no problems with the build/quality of the instrument and I like the sound. The more I play it, the more I like it.

Comments about Ibanez Artcore AS73 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

This guitar is great. I have a few guitars, and this by far is the best for the Les Paul style pickup and sounds. It's light, pickups are great, and looks beautiful. I wish it would have been my first purchase. Just a great solid guitar with a beautiful sound!!!!

Comments about Ibanez Artcore AS73 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

This guitar was highly recommended by a friend who is a professional musician. After playing his, I knew this was the one for me. It sounds great and plays so easily, especially after my local Guitar Center did a set up on it. It was very good, right out of the box, but much better after a little tweaking. And the sound is great, from mellow to bright.

Comments about Ibanez Artcore AS73 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

Yep! Great guitar that required minimal set up out of the box; intonation, some fast fret and a rub down with my polish cloth. The nut is pleasingly low already which is very unusual for stock guitars these days. Before my purchase I had played Thinlines by both Fender and G&L as well as the Zach Meyer PRS and I ended up keeping this beautiful Ibanez. Those other guitars were all in the neighborhood of $800. The neck has a slightly flatter radius than my ESP rock machine which is appreciated for the Jazz stylings I plan for this guitar. The nut is also wider than many others at 1 11/16 or 43 mm. The 58's are great pickups and really sing while the bridge pickup maintains plenty of bite for a dirty sound that is totally different than my other humbuckers - really fat but really clear also - really cool, it freakin' barks! The frets are medium jumbo which are different for me but apparently deliver better note articulation, or so I read, which is what folks who play clean and jazzy stuff want I guess. All in all I'm very pleased - it's beautiful.

Product Alert - this may be an older picture. My guitar matches the AS73 from the Ibanez website which is the same except for the following; gloss rather than satin finish, rectangular inlays rather than dot and a black pick guard that I will remove.

Comments about Ibanez Artcore AS73 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I have an all-wood Taylor, a Schecter Diamond series bass, a very nice LTD by ESP but wanted something that would move in a different direction when I played it and so started off in search of an elusive tone. I played Teles, and G&L Thin-lines and got close but then saw this as a suggestion on the GC site and decided to try it. I love the wider nut (1 11/16) I love the dual chambers with solid center, I love the 58 pickups, I love the all maple body with mahagony neck, I love the finish and I love the scrolling - even in the f-holes. I purchased it through my GC online rep Amanda who secured me a nice discount (Thanks Amanda) and I couldn't be happier. Great resonance, just the right amount of useable feedback and the same sort of bite that is realized by the awesome lipstick pickup on the Teles.

Only cons are that my model came with a gloss finish rather than satin and a pick guard that I don't care for, but I can take that off. Bonus is that mine came with rectangular inlays rather than dots - that I love!
