For the working bassist who prefers a bass in the classic style, here's the Premium ATK. But classic style simply served as a starting point for the bass designers at Ibanez. After a long, intense period of R&D -much of it focused on pick up combinations-Ibanez arrived at a version of the ATK that is markedly versatile. As they like to say: "Every song, every set, every night." Add to that the Ibanez Premium level of quality, on which touring and studio musicians can rely.
ATK Premium features the great combination of the original Ibanez "Sonic Arch" front pickup and a double humbucker rear pickup, providing an extraordinary tonal palette. Output balance of both pickups is maintained, string-to-string, by the design of the matching arched pickup cover and coil inside pickup unit. With a CAP Double Humbucker bridge pickup and a Ibanez proprietary CAP Sonic Arch neck pickup, in combination with the specially made ATK-N3 3-band EQ, the ATK Premium delivers true versatility. Jazz, gospel, classic rock, metal¦ there's no form of music outside the comfort zone of the ATK Premium.
Here's why Ibanez calls it "The Premium Treatment" - the fret edges of these ATKs are a result of their luthiers' supreme attention and takes slow, demanding process. As the result, the neck offers a smooth, comfortable fret-hand feel.
Includes gig bag.

Comments about Ibanez ATK800E Premium 4-String Bass Guitar:
Just got back from GC after playing this bad boy. if your a fan of the ibanez atk's you'll love this for sure and if its your first try I know you'll love it too, I have 2 old atk's and I plan on getting this one soon :). the atk range before was great but with the added jazz pickup its range just got amazing!, every tone I got out of it pleased the bassist in me from high snapping treble, jazz inspiring mids, to gut rattling bass it was there. One thing "I" did not like was it didn't weigh the same.. it was lighter, by a pretty good 4 pounds.. I'm used to the weight of the atk and I like a heavy bass but thats me lol. the neck felt different not like the atk neck I'm used to but thats not a bad thing it felt great and played like a dream. the tuning heads are smaller.. not really a con, surprised me when I noticed :p. all an all this bass is solid, looks beautiful, plays great and feels amazing, it gives you so much range at your finger tips
