Anyone who knows their guitar history will tell you: Ibanez spent much of the 1970s in the role of the prodigious student-building copies that exceeded the quality of the originals. They'd proven themselves quite capable, but would they ever make their own distinctive contribution to the guitar pantheon? The Artist proved Ibanez was hell-bent on standing shoulder to shoulder with the industry's veterans.
Made of mahogany, just like the classics, the AR325 Artist's symmetrical double-cutaway body style was a first in the production guitar world. But Ibanez's biggest leap forward will continue to be appreciated by today's player: the tri-tone switching system-a unique configuration that opens up the number of pickup/tone possibilities. But no matter what the setting, the Super 58s pack this axe with rich tonal palette. Gorgeous old school pearl/abalone block inlays make for a path back to one of rock's most dynamic chapters.
Case sold separately.

WOW and WOW again,,this beautiful guitar plays absolutely wonderful,,what a great choice, feel, sound, craftmanship, looks are all there.I have always said that your instrument does not know how to;sing, cry, love, scream or dance until you teach it to,,well this guitar gets it and learns very, very fast..The different tone choices have a place everywhere in the sound spectrum..This axe plays as well as any other top guitar I have that cost lots more than this one,i will be moving this guitar up towards the front of the guitar rack for a go to axe..thx Guitar Center and Ibanez..
I've always played Ibanez guitars. I wanted a hard tail to force myself into vibrato without the wammy bar. That being said, the pickups sound great and the finish is beautiful. This is a flawless guitar right down to the neck. I've always said that buying a guitar is all about the neck. If it's not good then the guitar isn't good. No buzz at all here. The coil tapping adds some very useable tones too. This is a great guitar!
This guitar is as every bit as good as the originals that were made in Japan. The only thing I did not like was that the neck seemed narrow from side to side. The tritone switched were way cool as well and the fit and finish flawless. Played through the new Marshall DSL16C this is a killer axe!
