Pushing traditional concepts one step further, the Ibanez AFS80T has the same shape and full-hollow body of the AF. For increased comfort and more midrange punch, the body depth is one inch thinner. An Ibanez Vintage Vibrato is also mounted on the body with roller saddles, eliminating the tuning problems of traditional systems.
VBF70 Vintage Vibrato: This old school vibrato adds country and rockabilly nuances to the rich tone of a full-hollow guitar, but the included roller saddles eliminate “old school” tuning problems. The Sure Grip III knobs are designed for precise control with nonslip functionality, along with smooth and classic looks.
All Maple, full-hollow construction, yet thinner body width, giving increased comfort and more mid-range punch.

This guitar is just gorgeous. The candy apple red (which I believe is a GC exclusive?) is stunning, the racing stripe is quite an eye catcher, and I really like the clear acrylic pick guard. I play blues guitar, and this guitar just VIBRATES. The hollow body sound is large, with a twang. And the low profile (it's an inch shallower than a traditional hollow body) is super comfortable. The bigsby-esque vibrato concerned me in regard to tuning issues, but this baby is rock solid. Big fat humbuckers, great sound... I tried several Gretsch and Epi's in the same price range, and this Ibanez won hands down.
While waiting for another transaction, I picked up this guitar just because it was a low hanging guitar with some really sweet looks... Plugged it into the nearest tube amp and WOW! Sustain, tone, feel... It was all there. Probably one of the best sounding Hollowbodies I've played. Picked up a few different Epiphones, Gretsches, and Gibsons. None of them could match the look or value of this guitar. Rather remarkable if you are blues, rock, or jazz player. The racing strips reminds me of a famous Rockabilly player we all know that has a signature model with one of the brands already mentioned. If I was in the market for another Hollowbody, this would be on my list!
This guitar is brilliant. Has a nice smooth jazzy sound, but can definitely give a rockabilly rock sound as well. I mostly do alternative music but its definitely versatile. Great guitar!
this is an awesome guitar. i was at my local guitar center, and i saw this guitar in green. i thought it looked awesom, green with the white stripes. it stood out so i decided to play it it played amazingly. later i got it in red and it is my main guitar. i use it for classic rock, i use it for jazz, i play slide on it, it has some cool blues tones and i even play some metal on it. great guitar.
