I bought this as a replacement guitar for my previous acoustic (cracked internal brace). It is very comfortable to play right out of the box and very attractive to display as well. As with any guitar, I highly recommend playing your specific instrument before leaving the store. There was a difference between the demo and the one I took home. The only negative I had was that the battery was almost dead when I first tried plugging in. I checked and there was not a short in the Fishman electronics, just a dead battery. After replacement, it has been excellent. The tuner, while not as precise as I would prefer, is accurate and good as a quick spot check. Did I mention that it is really comfortable to play? I also appreciate the satin finish on the backside of the neck to make it easier to move up and down the neck. The neck profile is about 1/2 way between a Les Paul and an Ibanez RG120 electric.
I know that there are two reviews before mine where this guitar is rated 5 stars? But, my bad experience??. I bought this online with a store pickup. Took the unopened guitar box home and attempted to tune it. All the strings laid flat across the fret board. Maybe I did something wrong? Am I that stupid? So I look at the manual that was in the case and it starts talking about using the Allen wrench (which was also in the package), or have it serviced by the dealer. So I go back to Guitar Center with the guitar. They send me to the guy who does repairs and he starts to do his best to get it in shape. After about 10 minutes I said that it seemed like too much work needed on a brand new guitar and I would like a replacement. So I get the only other one they currently had (the demo). I tried as I might to like the guitar and love it, but the action was so high to play easily. The onboard electronic tuner totally sucked because it was inaccurate which made it useless. The sound was very tinny. Not happy, so I exchanged it for the Alvarez AF66. Excellent tuner. Excellent sound and very good action.
I got this guitar at Christmastime and have been playing the heck out of it ever since. The action is just right. It sounds great and stays in tune. Best money I have spent for a while.
I bought this guitar a couple months ago and I love it, Along with the great price, it stays in tune and plays very smooth. I got the Transparent Red Sunburst with gold tone hardware, Very beautiful and fun to play! Weather your a beginner or pro, you will love this guitar...I recommend it 100%
