I bought one of these from Guitar Center awhile back. I loved it right away for its perfect action, easy play, mellow amplified sound, good electronics, beautiful styling. Admittedly there were a few problems -- loose wires inside, rough frets. Must have been an early model. These things were fixable. I was so happy with the guitar I bought a second one for my girlfriend about a year later. The second had no problems at all. It is a spectacular instrument all around -- good unamplified tone (much better than the first), fabulous sound amplified, and better electronics. I tell my friends that playing this thing is a silky smooth experience, a real pleasure, like driving a cadillac. I love it!

It looks good, but it fails as an acoustic guitar. The sound just isn't satisfying or impressive at all since the body is so thin. Unless you're going to always be playing with an amp, you should find an acoustic electric with a dreadnought body instead, it's more versatile.

I've been playing for 3 years and i've had this guitar for 2 years. I started out on an Oscar Schmidt and when i picked this bad boy up i loved it. I recommend it to experienced and beginners alike. Since it's half body it doesnt have much resonance so some chords dont sound as good as other guitars. Still a great guitar and sounds amazing plugged in Buy It!
I got this guitar yesterday and haven't put it down since! I have the black one and it's great. It has great electronics too. The black one does show fingerprints easily but wipe them away and your good to go. I would totally recommend this to a friend.
I have been playing for around 40 yrs. I've had Gibsons and Epiphones guitars, They're great. I just recently bought this Ibanez accoustic and I couldn't be any happier. You can't beat the quality for the money. The accoustic sound is loud and clear. Plugged into my Pa the sound is crisp and clear. The intonation is perfect. The tuner is very handy and accurate. This guitar is also thinner than most accoustics and has a very comfortable feel. Trust me on this one, you won't be sorry.
Four years ago, I started taking guitar lessons and I went through lots of name-brand, low-end acoustic and electric guitars. Then I decided to try an acoustic-electric and researched everything in the $300-500 price range. As soon as I picked up this Ibanez, I forgot about all the others. It blends the best features of separate acoustic and electric guitars into one beautful, playable package. I purchased my first one around Thanksgiving 2010 and just today (Labor Day), I took my daughter into Guitar Center and got one for her. I am sure these guitars will bring us lots of joy for years to come!
First of all, If you have read a bad review about this guitar, the guys that wrote them either played this guitar at a buddy's when he was over for video games, they are an ELECTRIC GUITARIST, or they don't understand the purpose behind this type (model) of guitar! It is a nice sounding acoustic when you want an acoustic, Its a nice sounding electric when you want an electric!!! It is a small body guitar and so the sound isn't as big as a really wide-large acoustic. However, I have owned and operated many styles and this guitar has a nice acoustic sound! When you are home practicing or camp fire playing, the guitar is plenty loud and has a great sound! It is easy to play too. The action is just right, and if you wanna get away from the acoustic; the electric is just wonderful. IT IS THE PERFECT GUITAR FOR THE BEGINNER, however, I know some pro's and they always wanna play this one instead of their expensive models. I recommend this guitar for everybody! It is a nice sounding acoustic when you want an acoustic, Its a nice sounding electric when you want an electric!!!
I got the black gloss model for my birthday. The tone sounds amazing and even better when plugged in. I would recommend this guitar to anyone.
This guitar is great. The only issue I have which was a little let-down was that its thin. Not your average thickness in a guitar. Besides that, all else is perfect. The action is super nice, not too low, but not high where barre chords are death. The neck is a little on the thin side, but this is just weird for me because I like more support when I play. The sound hole is big, with alot of tone. My friend has this nice thick Michael Kelly, but her sound hole is 1/3rd smaller than mine. Guess who has bigger sound? Me. So this guitar definitely delivers. 2 issues- Thin Body and Thin Neck. thats it.
I bought this guitar for a first acoustic, after playing for three years. All it needed was the action lowered a bit, which is a VERY tiny price to pay for such a great guitar. It has a sweet, clear tone. NO buzz. It's more than worth the price, regardless if your a beginner, or an expert.
So I've had this guitar for a month so far. Here's what I can say. This guitar is simply amazing for it's low price. The pick ups sound great and sound quality is good. there are some loose wiring inside but it's not a problem and when you reach over the guitar you could accidentally change settings on the control panel. On the other hand...The gloss black finish It has is beautiful but it could get fingerprints easily and the white binding is nice too. The action on it is also good as well. There are also 2 different types inputs so this guitar can plug into a standard guitar amp and a microphone type amp which is quite useful. The onboard tuner is really good too and the built in Phase effect is nice. Overall this guitar is a great guitar for a great price. would definitely reccomend this to others.
I got this about a year ago and have been VERY happy with it. I've been playing about four years and started on a big acoustic guitar and when I got this I could learn so many more things. It sounds amazing on just about anything you want to play. You can sound great just playing chords, and barre chords are pretty easy on it compared to many other guitars. I love Avenged Sevenfold, and I can play some of their solos better on this guitar than on my brother's Les Paul. I love being able to switch between just chords and then a solo. I highly recommend this guitar to anyone playing any style! I can play what ever style I want on this which makes it a wonderful guitar! It has been very reliable and apart from a wire loose in it (it doesn't do anything to the sound quality, just if you shake it you hear it) nothing is a problem. I really like the tuner on this guitar. I've seen some different tuners on other guitars and haven't liked them much, but I really love this one. I love EVERYTHING about this guitar!
