Overview

The Ibanez AEG25E guitar has a slender body to deliver powerful and balanced acoustic tones. This acoustic-electric guitar combines easy playability, classic solid and sunburst finishes, and Fishman and Ibanez electronics to create a quality, workhorse acoustic guitar that will rise to any occasion. The AEG25E features a stunning quilted maple top. The Fishman Sonicore pickup and Ibanez AEQ-SST Shape Shifter preamp with onboard tuner provide premium acoustic tone and tuning ease. Ivorex II nuts are stronger and more durable than bone and even harder than the original Ivorex. Ivorex II allows brilliant highs and more pronounced lows with less mid-range which makes Ivorex II-fitted guitars perfect for amplification. Many Ibanez acoustic guitars features both 1/4" and XLR outputs for increased versatility.

Comments about Ibanez AEG Series AEG25E Acoustic Electric Guitar:

This guitar has a nice finish, and feel.Thinner body adds to its ease of play. The action from the factory is a little high, lowering is easy to do or your local music shop will do it for a small fee.The pickup sounds great through a pa or amp, i even created a new dirty setting on my viper120 for it .over all great guitar for the money.

    Great Guitar

    By Jason

    from Keene. NH

Comments about Ibanez AEG Series AEG25E Acoustic Electric Guitar:

I went to one of many local guitar shops to look for a new guitar, no special occasion. I wasn't planning on getting one that day but then I saw this. Out of the five or so guitars I played this one had the best action. Great shape, comfortable, sounds amazing, very playable. Just be careful when you plug it into the amp because you might get a lot of feedback so ajust the settings before you plug it in.

    Ibanez Acoustic Electric

    By Dawn

    from Princeton Junction, NJ

Comments about Ibanez AEG Series AEG25E Acoustic Electric Guitar:

We bought this guitar for my daughter's 18th birthday so she would have it to take to college. She is a beginner, but has been writing music and singing forever! I called the New Brunswick store with questions while shopping online and the staff was wonderful, and helpful. Doug worked with us in the store and he was terrific! The guitar is beautiful, the sound amazing! The price was the best we found! She loves it! Thank you Guitar Center!

    Solid guitar for most players

    By AceRocker

    from Toledo, Ohio

Comments about Ibanez AEG Series AEG25E Acoustic Electric Guitar:

This guitar was my first truly decent quality guitar, and after having it for a time and learning much more about music and guitars I figured that I may now be authorized to review it. This guitar seemed to call to me in the shop with its dazzling finish, and its bright sound. For a beginner it is a very sound guitar with all the tone and playability that would be desired for someone at that level. It also has a decent price tag that is competitive to other guitars in its range. The guitar sounds good unplugged, but when connected to a decent acoustic amp is when it really shines. As the time has passed I have noticed that the guitar has developed a slight buzzing sound that can only be noticed when unplugged but isn't noticeable when connected to an amp. Overall, this guitar would be good for most players looking for a solid but affordable guitar. For more serious players I would recommend a slightly more expensive model, even a higher grade Ibanez.

    Welcome Surprise

    By SweetSpot

    from Southeast Louisiana

Comments about Ibanez AEG Series AEG25E Acoustic Electric Guitar:

Bought this guitar as my ancient Gibson acoustic is worth too much too gig with anymore. Not only that, mic'ing it was a pain. Neck has a great feel to it. Fits my hand perfectly. It's not as loud as a dreadnought which is a good thing. No more waking up the kids. The electronics are good. Very easy to get multiple tones out of this guitar. Overall, I am pleasantly surprised with the sound and playability of this inexpensive guitar.
