I just picked this bass up a few days ago after a long search for an acoustic/electric bass. I liked this bass in terms of looks, usable volume while not plugged in, and general playing dynamics. I'd go so far as to say that I liked it better than the basses that cost twice as much. The tuner works well, and is a very handy feature. I was shocked when I plugged it into my home amp (Peavey TKO 115 S) how "big" the sound was. Also pleased with how quiet the electronics are. No residual hum or whine here. Very pleased with initial quality, sound, and fit/finish. As with all Ibanez guitars, the neck is fast and allows for clean, quick playing. Can't imagine getting more for the money than this. Less expensive than the Ibanez solid I started with 20 years ago, and puts it to shame in terms of tone. Highly recommended for just about any type of music.

I recently purchased the Ibanez AEB10E Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar with Onboard Tuner. It has a very warm, yet punchy sound. The built-in tuner is very handy and accurate. This is my second Ibanez bass guitar and the quality shows. You can't get a better acoustic bass in this price range, this thing rocks!!

Wow

By Tahoe Ed

from Kings Beach, CA

Comments about Ibanez AEB10E Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar with Onboard Tuner:

I just received my AEB 10E in the Dark Violin Sunburst and it is a work of art. Beautiful finish, action set just right from the factory. The real fun was sitting down and starting to play. Not real loud acoustically but the variety of sounds available when amped are amazing! The onboard tuner is easy to use but a little touchy to get the green light on. It bounces a lot between too sharp and too flat. I checked it with my dedicated tuner and it was spot on. I would recommend this bass to anyone looking for a quality acoustic bass at a reasonable price.

Worthy - Solid - Powerful - Clean

By Joe V.

from Anza, CA

Comments about Ibanez AEB10E Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar with Onboard Tuner:

I was watching Nathan East last night on a DVD concert with Clapton and decided to get an acoustic bass like his. I already own a couple Fender Ps and an Ibanez SR500, so I decided on another Ibanez. This one was used and quite unhappy looking in the center island, so I picked it up and went over and plugged it into an Acoustic B-450. What magic and tone and feeling and ability! Why-o why did someone trade this in? It has a new and very appreciative home now with it's brother and some cousins. Now I'm going to find some blues and jazz grooves to play as this is an incredible sounding - almost like an upright - bass. I'll work on that sound too! To whomever sold or traded this in: I have it now and I am NOT considering ever selling it. It is loved.

Great Bass after minor adjustment...

By The Bibster

from Belle Mead, NJ

Comments about Ibanez AEB10E Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar with Onboard Tuner:

I just purchased this bass, and was a little disappointed in that it had massive fret buzz on the 2nd fret. I was thinking that I'd have to go back to the store (far away) and exchange and maybe go through this all again...but then I stopped panicking and realized it probably needed a truss rod adjustment. Whipped out the Allen wrench, and with a 1/2 of a revolution of the rod, BAM, problem solved. Great sounding acoustic bass, with the onboard tuner that makes everyone I show it to jealous! I also love the finish (it's easily the most beautiful guitar I own).

GREAT BUY

By LA7

Comments about Ibanez AEB10E Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar with Onboard Tuner:

I mostly play electric bass ibanez sr505 & schecter stilletto. But every once in a while my friends and I play acoustic sets, and i didn't want to spend a fortune on an acoustic bass. I went down to guitar center in north olmstead, and checked out the acoustic basses. This Ibanez really impressed me with it's warm expressive sound plugged in or unpluggeed. The lows are warm & resonant, the high are sweet. I love the fishman sonicore pickup, the shape shifter, the preamp, the onboard tuner, & the cutaway access. It has a slim neck, fast action, no fret buzz, a great glossy black finish, spruce top, mahogany bak & sides. It blew me away, for the price ,so i bought it. I practice on it alot, it's so comfortable & playable, it sounds great.

Couldn't be better

By bluemoon 1813

Comments about Ibanez AEB10E Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar with Onboard Tuner:

I purchased mine about 6 months ago. It has a real nice punchy sound, the onboard tuner is accurate, but the buzz on the 2nd fret was just off the hook. So buy new strings for this guitar right after you buy it.

Great acoustic

By Nachofromage

from Eldridge, IA

Comments about Ibanez AEB10E Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar with Onboard Tuner:

Yeah, there are a lot of acoustics out there that offer so much more, but they all come with a chubby price tag. This guitar offers a lot of sound for a moderate cost. I have had one hell of a lot of trouble with feedback from my amp with this guitar, so that has kept me from using it more often than my electric, but the sound that it delivers when I play it unplugged is full and rich. I messed around with quite a few acoustics before I selected this one, and I will admit that I only bought it because I got it at wholesale cost (someone damaged it a little in the humidor). Also, I get quite a bit of fret buzz no matter what I do with it. All in all, this thing is well worth the cost and especially good for those with a low budget or those who are just starting out. Good sound, good looks, good guitar... but not the best.

Ibanez Acoustic/Electric Bass

By bassmaster8483

Comments about Ibanez AEB10E Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar with Onboard Tuner:

I had purchased this bass a during the summer of 2006 and it is incredible. The sound is terrific (if its not your style, you can change it easily) and the body is as well. There's no down points if you purchase this bass (except if you condiser acoustics heavy and the acoustic styled action strange).

Ibonez AEB1OE Bass

By Quinn Webb

from Salt Lake City, Uah

Comments about Ibanez AEB10E Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar with Onboard Tuner:

What a great guitar for the buck! I read reviews and even on-line reviews @ youtube and thought that I would acutally not like this guitar as well as others. After playing the other's, I was sold on this Ibonez. Good solid sound, had a much better feel on the neck compaired to the more expesive basses. There is a little buzz right now when playing at the mid-point octive but an adjustment should take care of that. I gave it 5 stars because you should not get this over-all good of a bass guitar for the price. If your performing a lot or in the studio, another bass would be appropriate but for thumpin around the house and for beginning bands, this will do very nicely!

Perfect for the acoustic jam sets..

By Tosis Maguill

from Colorado Springs

Comments about Ibanez AEB10E Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar with Onboard Tuner:

The bassist in my band owns one of these and I play around with it often. The Ibanez AEB10E is a surprisingly good acoustic bass, and more amazing, it's suprisingly cheap. This bass offers the legendary playability of Ibanez and you know it when you pick it up. It stays in tune very well and is loud! The cut-away is also great for getting up there on the frets.

If you're looking STOP RIGHT HERE!!

By Burgman

from Painesville, Ohio

Comments about Ibanez AEB10E Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar with Onboard Tuner:

I've had this acoustic bass for about a year now, and i haven't been able to put it down. it's so perfectly balanced in my hands, standing or sitting, just a very comfortable bass to play. The tuner and EQ sliders can kinda be in the way depending on the way you play, but you can make this guitar sound FAT with them. I recommend this bass to anyone looking for a easy to use, gets the job done, acoustic bass. If you have one keep rockin', if you don't start saving this one is worth every penny in this bass players opinion. Cheers!

Comments about Ibanez AEB10E Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar with Onboard Tuner:

I have been using Ibanez bass guitars since 1990. Their sound quality is excellent. You can feel the sound in your chest!!! Their also nice and lite weight. The neck is the perfect width for galloping up and down and back and forth!!! You can beat them to death and they don't go out of tune!!! I'll never buy any other brand!! Thankyou for an affordable and reliable product!!

By xmasbassist

Comments about Ibanez AEB10E Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar with Onboard Tuner:

I had seen this bass guitar during the memorial day sale and instantly fell in love with it. though it was not on sale (hehe...) I still bought it. I sat and played bass lines, the sound is full and wonderful. The on board tuner is such a help when I'm with friends and don't need the hassle on carrying a tuner. The pickup is fantastic and it holds up well to me constant playing. Overall, its a wonderful guitar.

Comments about Ibanez AEB10E Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar with Onboard Tuner:

I own four other bass guitars but was looking for one that I could use in my music ministry and while playing in church. This bass guitar fit my needs perfectly. It has a GREAT SOUND and is light. I use a small amp while playing in church so the combination turned out great. Thanks

Good Bass

By dAtAzNiNvaZin256

Comments about Ibanez AEB10E Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar with Onboard Tuner:

I was never a huge fan of Ibanez, and i always wanted a warlock bass guitar, but since i didn't have 1000 dollars, i decided to try this one out. I have to say, that Ibanez really proved me wrong. They have some great sounding guitars, and this bass is no exception. It is very cheap for something of this quality. The onboard tuner makes tuning in between songs a breeze, and the bass is just so user friendly. =) It is very easy to play, the frets don't get in the way, and they are spaced very accurately. I personally love this bass and i wouldn't give this bass up for any other bass.

Great acoustic bass.

By Chris LaBenne

from Niles, OH

Comments about Ibanez AEB10E Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar with Onboard Tuner:

This is simply a great bass. It's got a wonderful acoustic tone, even when you plug it in and play electric. The onboard tuner is an outstanding addition (let's face it, not all of us can tune by ear) and it holds up well. On the 2nd fret, though, there is horrible fret buzz no matter what you do to this thing. I've gone through 3 sets of strings trying to fix that, but I've grown to ignore it. Anyway, the bass also looks wonderful. A good buy.

A Great Buy

By Thatguy

from Ridgefield, WA

Comments about Ibanez AEB10E Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar with Onboard Tuner:

This bass was surprisingly great. It was my first acoustic bass, and I wasn't sure that it was going to hold up to my expectations. When I got my hands on it I found that it was very easy to play, and became my favorite instrument by far. The onboard tuner works very well, and is easy to use quickly. The sound quality of the bass whether acoustic or plugged-in is great. For the quality of this bass, the price is exceptional and you should definately consider it for your next buy. (I also read comments about the string quality, but mine have held up fine)
