In the last two decades, no other guitar maker besides Ibanez has done so much to advance the art and science of the tremolo. The Edge-PRO represents the next phase in locking tremolos. The Edge-PRO features a unique Sound Metal Chip on each saddle which helps increase sustain right at the most critical area, the intonation point. To avoid the problem of string holder blocks getting lost during string changes, the Edge-PRO's sliding string holders are actually part of the bridge and won't drop from the saddle unit. With the Edge-PRO design, there's no need to cut off the ball end of your strings when installing new strings.

Comments about Ibanez 10th Anniversary RG1420 Prestige Electric Guitar:
I got the RG on 03-02-11-the quickest ever from GC-ordered on 02-26-11. Its a new guitar so Im still getting used to her. The fit and finish is what you would expect from a Ibanez.I see a glue joint on the neck right above the low E tuning peg and a black mark above the G-which has to do with the wood. Im not that fussy about such things-unless it becomes a problem down the road. Im more interested in the feel and the sound, which this thing will soar! If Ibanez put hotter pickups in it and charged $250 more it would be a screamer! The guitar is perfect for what I wanted-cost was factor, so when GC gave $200 off a $999 purchase i jumped! It is a limited production run and i read anywhere from 120 to 126 units per color. I believe mine is 101-not sure though. when you strum this without a amp up to your ear-you can just hear the quality in the instrument. It is made in Japan so no issues there, it has a five piece maple neck-(wizard Prestige)-but for the life of me, i dont see five pieces in the neck-maybe the headstock! They misrepresent the color a bit, but it is real close. It doesnt come with a case - just a gig bag. Best of all it has the edge pro bridge-which Rick Harris of Ibanez Rulez says is his favorite. You better jump on this one fast!
