I bought my RG series Ibanez without a case and decided that such a nice guitar would need a very nice case. Well, this is it. A heavy and rugged piece of art, filled with velvet and plenty of padding this beautiful case is the perfect match of quality and style I demand. The price is very reasonable as well concidering the cargo inside. Don't skimp on a cheaper one, spend a few more dollars and get the real deal.
When I picked up the case I was grateful that it was made by TKL, the same company that manufactures the cases for my other guitars, as I kindof bought the case site unseen. Id recently bought a new 7 string guitar and wanted a hardshell case for it. Upon inspection, the exterior of the case was in very good shape. I was surprised to see that that plastic piece that holds the lock in place prior to being set was not there but that?s no big deal. However, upon opening it I saw that the interior wasn't quite as nice as my Gibson cases, not bad, just not quite as nice. It just didn?t seem as plush and cushioned as the cases for my SG, Flying V or LP. Additionally, the internal storage compartment is a tad bit bulky. It was seem with all the room that the UV1000C case has they could offset the guitar in the case and put an easier accessible storage compartment in it. All in all I am happy with the case, I wish I could give it partial stars. 4 Just isn?t enough, but 5 is a bit too much.
My Ibanez (Prestige) came with the factory molded case,but this one is alot nicer.When I open the case,it really shows off the craftmanship.Its an old school style case,so it really brings out the spiritual side of it.I like the combination lock so I know my guitar is secured from unwanted hands.Just like all My fenders guitars,I had to get one for my Ibanez (prestige).
