Sounds of the islands, produced with strong and beautiful tonewoods, priced for anyone to own.

The UKS10 Soprano Ukulele from Ibanez is a sweet-toned, nylon-stringed instrument with luxurious tonewoods built to stand the test of time.

Built on the soprano-style platform and size, the UKS10 features a dark sapele body, presenting an unmistakable warm ukulele sound with soaring lows and mids.

The rosewood bridge and fretboard provide clear sustain. Dressed in a natural low-gloss finish, the wood's true beauty comes through and presents a 4-string of incredible beauty and unmatched tone.

The ukulele originated in 19th-century Hawaii. It gained great popularity in the U.S. during the early 20th century, and from there spread internationally. Ibanez ukuleles bring the rich, textured sounds of Hawaii (and more) to your fingertips.

  • It's Great!

As reviewed by Priscilla on 6/2/2011

It's great for a beginners uke. Sure, the tuning is unstable at first but that's because it's brand new. After that, it's greatt!!! :D I love it!

  • Learn a bit more before you knock on an item...

As reviewed by Antonio on 5/31/2011

Like any other stringed instrument you might want to give it a couple of days of playing before you you return it talking about it wont stay in tune... Remember, it takes a couple days for the strings to stretch out to where they are ready to play... that and make sure your putting some good quality strings on your new stringed instrument as good strings usually always make the difference... happy playing!!!

  • Basic Uke...Low Price

As reviewed by Douglas Stevens on 11/15/2011

This was the first ukulele I have ever owned. Since then and about two years later I have several other higher end solid body ukes. I am no expert, but I have been playing music for about 10 years and ukulele for about 2 now. When I first got this ukulele it took about two weeks for it to hold tune. There was never a lot of sound and the music never carried. I changed the strings to Aquila and it made a huge difference. The ukulele plays much better and the sound is much louder. So if you are on a low budget I would buy this ukulele, but you are going to want a nicer one in several months.
