Sounds of the islands, produced with strong and beautiful tonewoods, priced for anyone to own.

The UKC10 Concert Ukulele from Ibanez is a sweet-toned, nylon-stringed instrument built with luxurious tonewoods to stand the test of time. Built on the concert-style platform and size, the UKC10 Ibanez ukulele features a dark sapele body, presenting ukulele sound with rich lows and mids.

The sapele body and rosewood bridge and fretboard provide clear sustain and let the lows and mids soar. Dressed in a natural low gloss finish, the wood's true beauty comes through, making it a 4-string of incredible beauty and unmatched tone.

The ukulele originated in 19th century Hawaii. It gained great popularity in the U.S. during the early 20th century and from there spread internationally. Ibanez ukuleles bring the rich, textured sounds of Hawaii (and more) to your fingertips.

  • I love my ukulele

As reviewed by Sue Meyers on 10/30/2011

The sound is good and gets better with playing. As far as the strings not staying in tune, that is typical of new strings. I experience the same thing with my classical guitar for a day or two after putting new strings. At least until the new strings settle down. I did change to Aquila strings (Guitar Center needs to stock these) The bag is not much for protection and the ukulele fits very snug. It was difficult to get it in the first few times. I will be buying a hard case.

  • Great Uku!

As reviewed by Tom Baley on 12/7/2009

I bought this ukulele, and it is wonderful. The wood is great, stays in tune, and the gig bag that comes with it is great for travel. I switched the strings, and within a 5 days of playing on new strings, its like the ukulele has improved! The sound is very hawaiian-ish, and Its a great, low priced ukulele, Im not sure what was wrong with the other reviewers ukulele, but mine was well worth every dollar spent. I would recommend any ukulele from Ibanez. Hope this helped.

  • Ehh

As reviewed by Aaron Santos on 12/4/2009

I just got this uke and for one, definately not as appealing as the picture. Second, i was tuning the strings and withing 3 hours of barely playing, the g-string snapped. the strings it came with are not of top quality so i would recommend purchasing higher quality nylon strings. Over all i liked the deep warm uke sound (while it lasted) though the body is not a traditional uke feel but rather an Ibanez acoustic guitar.
