Compared to amps in its price range your talking about a very usuable amp especially for bedroom and jam guys. if you play metal get the jet city. but this amp is more fender like with almost full volume before it gets any real dirt. Ive owned two 100watt heads fender and a hot rodded laney that if it was 20 watts. this amp is like the fender amp clean head room but the screamer and boost works really good to get overdriven sounds. and on five watts its loud enough to piss off everyone in the house if your using 2x12 like me. features wise it a 1 channel amp that has pure clean levels so if ur a pedal user to get your overdrive and distorsion this is great but with the tubescreamer and boost your get what seems like a two channel amp but i personally just use my pedals as it simpler for me and use boost to keep the signal right on the edge of perfection and the keely overdrive puts it there. quality seems top notch to me i dont think you get much better i would have liked a better eq and a preamp volume but whatever i could deal with that but an effects loop for your reverb and the option to use different cabinets of different ohm ratings is a win where other amps fail. if it was stolen i'd save and get the 50 watt ject city or a peavy classic 30 which is the greattest amp for the price. weighing features vs features this is the better pick becasue of the effect loop and cabinet options and most of us have pedals for our distorsion any ways so you choose whats more important.
I have played this amp at my local GC. I was not really impressed. It sounds like a practice amp. If you're looking for a low watt tube amp to bring on stage, try the VOX Night Train or the Egnater Tweaker. I prefer the Egnater Tweaker myself. This amp lacks tone. Pure & simple. Probably shortcuts to keep the cost low.
