Encased in a special, heavy-duty metal box, the TS808HW pedal is hand-wired with select JRC4558D IC chips (same as the revered and often-imitated TS808) and uses Japanese high-end MOGAMI OEC cable (AWG21). Equipped with true bypass, this Tube Screamer sends pure guitar excitement to your amplifier with no tonal loss whatsoever. i REALLY LOVE THIS PEDAL MORE AND MORE EVERYDAY. I play a Legacy guitar through a vox AC15c1 and it doesn't color my tone unless I want it to. Its a pretty versatile pedal I use for playing anything from SRV to Lynard Skynyrd to The Black Keys to the Raconteurs and it does the trick.
Its the perfect pedal for blending stompboxes, sounds great with the OCD & a Keeley modded RAT or my favorite the Rothwell Hellbender. This pedal is a true bypass. It may seem pricey but if u purchase a regular ts808 and send it to Keeley to mod or Analogman its gonna cost the same so I decided to get it right the first time. The build quality is top notch and I can see this pedal staying on my board from now on its that good & the Mogami wiring puts it over the top.

It is worth the price. By boosting the volume and rolling back the gain a little past 11 o clock. It gives you the closest thing to replicating SRV tone I have ever heard. I would suggest it if your are searching for a booster or a light overdrive. Highly recommended. Buy now before they run out!
When I heard this pedal I was simply blown away at both the sound quality and build quality. This pedal is of extremely high caliber, standing up to the vigorous of daily home and stage use. I have a feeling that I will be stomping on this pedal for years to come with no degradation in the housing. The knobs are solidly constructed and the jacks seem secure. Now for the important part: sound. Of course, this pedal will be used for getting SRV tones (which it does magnificently with my Strat) but this pedal goes much farther. Turning the gain knob to "11" yields a gnarly and real natural overdrive sound, perfect for gritty solos. Another great use for this pedal comes as a boost for either an amps overdrive or another pedal. I use the TS808HW in conjunction with my Radial Trimode to create a true American, aggressive sounding overdrive that works well with both my Strat and Les Paul. I was slightly disappointed with the tone knob however, I found that only real usable tones came from between 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock. Beyond these parameters the overdrive gets to muddy or screechy, respectively. However within the parameters the sound is immaculate and really drives the tubes in my Blues Junior to full power, kicking out classic sound to cover all types of music. The quality and sound both justify the price of the TS808HW. Ibanez really outdid themselves with this one.
