Friendly price

I have owned/used TS9, TS808, and many other kinds. Basically this pedal is definitely not enough to compare to them, however the price is really attractive, and it doesn't sound cheapy. Just like all the tube screamer, it gives warm, fuzzy sound, but with TF7, it looses the vintage feel, and a little digitalized. Overall a 4.0

Good for the Price

Compared to the more expensive tubescreamers, this one is not quite as good. But, the price is what seperates this one from the bunch. It sounds kind of harsh at some settings, but when you get the right setting, it can sound really good. This thing seems reliable to me. It's metal and it seems like it was built fairly solid. So, if you want a tubescreamer and you don't want to spend trifold on a more expensive version, this one is probably the way to go.

I really like it

I won't lie, it doesn't sound like the vintage ones. But don't let that stop you... I love this thing. For 40 bucks, it was a steal. It warms up the signal nicely, and gives it a nice, tubey-fuzz. A cool feature is the hot switch: a further boost of sustain and distortion. Very nice. If you're not rich, this is the tubescreamer for you. If you are rich, try it anyway!

Best Tubescreamer Ibanez has produced.

Don't let the grumpy old men with a placebo sway you from buying this Tubescreamer. It's just as good as the old ones. Hell, it's better! Very warm, jazzy tones, perfect for blues and driving your amp to that edge of distortion. Forget the edge, with the new HOT switch you CAN hit distortion too! Compared to older Tubescreamers the tone is exactly the same. Ibanez knows what they're doing. These are in solid metal enclosures that are painted silver, for a beautiful look. Some people have a placebo complex over old stuff. I don't, I just trust my well trained ears. This screamer is a huge bang for it's buck.
