  • awesome gigging amp

As reviewed by Jeff on 10/11/2010

150 watts of power to melt people's faces off!!! The drive is INSANE on this thing, I have to keep it on 4 or else I get an intense Slayer/Sabbathish sound (which is great in certain situations). The clean channel is pure and the overdrive adds a bluesy, muddy tone which comes in handy for some slower ballads and blues runs. The hot channel has tone that makes the room shake. This amp is good for almost anything that I play. I picked this amp over a bunch of Fenders because it went beyond Fender's tone and features. It's built great and the speakers are protected in the back. Overall, it's a great amp and it doesn't look like crap either, it's hot!!

  • Try this Amp and you'll be amazed

As reviewed by Ken on 11/27/2007

I can't believe more people don't own this with as good as it sounds. You don't have to spend a whole lot of money or time screwing around to get a good sound. Even with the EQ flat across the board, it this nice warm clean tone with take you by surprise. I was only looking for a medium/loud amp with a good clean tone on it when I went shopping, but the distortion on it rocks as a bonus. Second only to my JC120, this is the best solid state amp I've ever played...

  • Great Amp for the Price

As reviewed by Cameron on 12/21/2010

I was expecting much more from switching from a 15 watt practice amp to a 150 watt amp that people told me would delute the other instruments. But for the money it's a good deal. I would rather switch to something like a half stack though to get the power I desire. The bass still kindof shakes the speakers around a bit when you use a distortion pedal (this doesn't exactly happen with the regular distortion settings on the amp) unless you find the right tone and stuff which I'm still working on. Not too lightweight and not too heavy. This thing is durable and should last a long time from all the research I've done on it. Just a little disappointed in the power but I love the clean on this thing and it rocks a lot. If you can find it used for $230 or less like I did...it's a great amp and I recommend it. Overall...I wouldn't recommend buying amps or instruments online until after you've played them or you can end up pretty disappointed...
