For the big gigs.

The TBX150H Tone Blaster Xtreme Guitar Amp Head rocks as hard as an Ibanez guitar. 150W means you're covered for most venues. 2 discreet channels, each with their own 3-band active EQ and a parametric midrange in second channel gives you tons of tonal flexibility. The Normal channel features switchable overdrive, and the Hot channel has switchable boost. Both channels have gain, volume, reverb, and resonance controls.

An effect loop lets you hook up outboard effects, while LED indicators for Channel, Reverb, Overdrive, and Boost take away any guesswork about how you're set up.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

I have owned this head for a year now and still totally love it, but I have changed one thing: the cabinet. The amp is very loud itself, but because the matching Ibanez cabinet is only mono, I was losing overall volume and in my opinion, tone. So I bought a B-52 LS 412 cabinet for the same price, and it is stereo and handles 100 more watts than the Ibanez cabinet. This head is awesome, but needs a better cabinet to show off its true capability.

  • money well spent

I needed to replace my h&k vortex head...i had heard one of these before. Ordered it on a whim. For the price - this is the best head you're going to get in my opinion - through my 4x12 vortex cab this thing sounds pretty amazing. It'll take some tweaking to get your desired sounds, but they're there. If you're on a budget, buy this thing you won't regret it - quiet enough to practice with and loud enough to gig with. Plenty of distortion. Clean channel sounded great. It sucks that the pedal is sold separately but the 4 switch is a must have.

  • this should be on your amp shopping list

As reviewed by raven douglas on 6/29/2010

first of all,i run this amp through a b-52 400 watt stereo ,switchable to mono cab.that cab is awsome by the way. i didnt care for the ibanez cab.this amp head rocks like no other solid state amp i have ever owned.it will cause lumps in the throats of tube amp users.i have already had a buddy say how good my set up sounds.he plays a dual rectifier half stack .this amp will thump your guts with the lows ,then you can dial up cleans so pure, its like notes from heaven.this amp is very loud and clear when played through the right cab.i sold my purple marshal mg half stack ,when it got drowned by a crate combo.this amp is worth every penny..i would absolutley buy this amp again.
