The JEM505 Steve Vai guitar has a contoured basswood body and features a 5-piece maple and walnut bolt-on neck with the JEM Prestige neck profile that provides easy access to all registers. A 24-fret maple fretboard offers bright tone and is tastefully adorned with black dot inlays. The Ibanez JEM505 Steve Vai guitar will let you scream or moan with the low-profile Edge bridge and groundbreaking Lion's Claw tremolo cavity that allows pitches to be radically raised or lowered without obstruction. The Ibanez JEM505 guitar also sports Steve Vai's famous Monkey Grip body hole.

The Ibanez JEM505 electric guitar unleashes scorching highs, bone-rattling lows and every bit of tone and nuance in between, with its powerful and perfectly balanced Ibanez Vintage 7 humbucking (neck), Single 1 (middle) single-coil, and Vintage 8 (bridge) humbucking pickups. The Vintage 7 humbucker features a ceramic magnet for a tone and response that is bright and tight – very dynamic for chording and rhythm work. The Ibanez Single 1 is a traditional-sounding, yet high-output single-coil pickup with Alnico V polepieces for even string output. It is designed to work with humbuckers in the split position. The Ibanez Vintage 8 humbucker also has an Alnico magnet and is a warm, articulate lead pickup with enhanced overtones. It yields good harmonics without excessive brightness. Ibanez's split-5 wiring provides incredible tonal versatility. The Ibanez JEM505 guitar comes with a molded hardshell case.
