I really like what Ibanez did with their new SD9M. I can definitely get a variety of good sounding distortions out of this pedal. This SD9M is amazing and versatile...and it has almost no backround noise! What surprised me the most was how it sounds running thru my JC120...and it makes my fender twin sound ever sweeter. As far as durability...it's an Ibanez...I still use the Ibanez FL9 I bought in '83. (true story.) The ONLY complaint I have about it is that Ibanez should have come out with this modified version years ago. If anything ever happens to my SD9M, I will definitely get another one!
This is by-far the best pedal I've ever owned. This pedal has the heaviest distortion in any pedal I've ever owned. This pedal is really suitable for any amp big or small, but the distortion has more bite if you use a bigger amp. This is a must for any metal fan; classic or screamo.
