I have been playing bass for years and Ibanez SR basses for the last 12 years and love them. So when I needed a practice and/or small gigs amp I decided to try the new Ibanez SW80 bass combo amp. That turned out to be a great decision. The amp has plenty of volume when needed and provides a great sound at higher and lower volumes level. It provides rich bottom notes whether I'm fingering or thumping and excellent sounding highs for my popping. So far a great value for only $300. I can only hope that Ibanez will come out with a SW300 or somewhere in that range. I would rated this amp at a must buy. Another great product from Ibanez.
I personally hated this amp. First shipment of it was a faulty amp so I had to return it to get another. It has a lot of random features like "roll off" and "envelope filter" that changes the sound which i thought was cool but it just cutting it for me. The only thing i liked about this amp was turning the gain really high (which by the way doesnt sound good) and turn on the "dist." so it sounds like im playing alien techno on bass. All in all, just dont trust this amp if you want something of high quality sound. Hell! dont trust any Ibanez products unless its guitars and basses.
