A great bass for any collection from Ibanez.

The SR375F fretless 5-string electric bass guitar makes for a formidable fretless addition to every bassists repertoire. Standard SR basses offer a wide line-up, from beginner to working pros. From higher-end Bartolini pickups to Ibanez EXF pickups, they are versatile enough to play any kind of music, while SR's signature "Slim & Fast" neck gives you great playability. The 5pc maple and rosewood neck and fretless rosewood fingerboard are comfortable and smooth allowing quick movement along the neck. The maple body provides both style and function. Maple when used in guitars and basses, creates beautiful bright highs and tight tapered lows. Its CAP EXF-N2 pickups and EQB-IIID 3-band EQ let you dial in your sound to the "T" and give you a full tonal range.

I bought this back on my birthday...I went to guitar center I was playing around with some basses then I pick up this beauty not to flash looks expensive...I played it and i feel in love with how it felt. The strings was not to low to the fret board and not to high. The neck was small enough so I wouldn't struggle going into 12 frets and higher on the neck. Pre amp has alot of versitality to it. If I want to make a quick tweek to my sound its right there easy to use. For a fretless it sounds like a regular fretted bass. This thing is amazing and good for the price. The fun thing I didnt know it was fretless until a friend of mine told me lol. Last thing this bass is very light weight. I carried a few bass b4 and wear some while playing and they would feel heavy but not this bass its light weight and have a pre amp of a heavy duty bass......LOVE IT NO PROBLEM SO FAR

  • Pretty good bass after some initial issues.

For the money, this is an excellently playable bass. Sound is great for a bass in this price range and balance is good. I had an issue with some "fret buzz" on this fretless model however... the fret markers are inlays and were not even with the fingerboard when I initially picked up the bass. GC worked fabulously with me and had a tech plane the fingerboard and adjust it to remove the "buzz" and now it truly feels like the fretless instrument I expected. Kudos to the local Guitar Center for taking charge and fixing the instrument and the to the tech for doing a wonderful job. It certainly saved what could have been a very unfortunate incident. 4 stars to Ibanez for an instrument that was almost perfect for what I needed. 5 stars to GC for righting what was wrong.

  • amazing instrument

As reviewed by Jacob on 7/11/2015

I am 15 years old, and I have been playing a 5 string bass for 2 years now. I was worried that when I played a fretless bass, the notes would all be out of tune. that is not true. the fretless instrument is easy to play, it has god action, and good electronics. it sounds great through my amp, and its a bunch of fun. one thing I didn't like about the instrument is the strings. there are regular nickel wound strings, and I will soon put flat wound strings on it. other than that, it is a great instrument, and I would recommend it to any bass player.
