The Ibanez SR305 bass guitar is the 5-string version of the SR300 making it an ideal first bass that will deliver tone you wouldn't expect from a starter instrument. The SR305 bass has a 5-piece SR5 maple/rosewood neck and light, agathis body with smooth rounded edges, and its extreme lower cutaway allows easier access to the upper frets. The EXF-4 pickups and an upgraded 3-band Style Sweeper EQ give you a great overall sound no matter what style you're into.

  • Amazing Deal

    I have owned this bass for almost a year now and I absolutely love it. If you are looking to buy a 5 string and you are tight on money, buy it. However, if you have a little extra dough, I would highly recommend buying the Ibanez SR505. Overall, this bass is just amazing and here is a little list of what the pros are. Pros: Light in weight, thin neck makes playing a world easier, low B isn't floppy like on some bass guitars, Pickups are nice and clear, the EQ sweeper is amazing( you can make your bass sound hollow or make it straight up growl). Cons: Sadly, this bass does have one drawback, which is output. I let a friend borrow my bass for church(to play worship music), and he said to me that it doesn't have as much output and he has to crank the amp up a little bit more. However, he also plays on a yamaha with two active hum-bucker pickups and that in itself has a lot of output. Overall, you can not go wrong with this bass, it is inexpensive so you will take it anywhere, and you can play it forever since the thin neck and light weight makes it that much comfortable to play. Good bass, good sound, you will truly thank yourself for buying this bass since the price is right and the sound is even better.

  • Overall Great Bass

    The bass has just about everything you could want from it. It has amazing pickups that provide a very nice and solid low end as well as a clear and bright high end. Neck is extremely versatile and smooth. I recommend you at least try this bass. It's truly amazing for its cost.

  • Great bass for a good price

    I needed a 5 string because my band decided to start playing in drop a tuning and i needed another bass anyway. It was between this or the thunderbird pro IV, i bought this ibanez and love it. It is great for everything. The only problem was that i had to fix the action because the b,e, & a strings were laying on the fretboard, but other than that no problems.
