The SR Premium 1405E boasts a smoothly contoured figured maple top on a large mahogany body for gorgeous looks and powerful, aggressive tone. Its five-piece SR5 wenge/bubinga neck is also bolstered with KTS™ titanium reinforcement rods inside, and finished with a rosewood fretboard. The Mono-Rail bridge is the ultimate in string isolation for bass. Each saddle is independently and securely locked down to the body for maximum vibration transfer and no interference. One screw controls the height of each saddle for easy adjustment.

Great bass. Plays easily and the electronics give you a wide range of sounds to pick from. Small rattles can occur on the bridge, interestingly have this with my ibanez acoustic bass as well.
Very annoying issue though is that the color of the unit i received when ordered in the store online - which took 1.5 hours due to system malfunctions - is that the color of the bass I received is quite different from the one here on the web site, it's the darker orange brown type color.
The guys of GC in the Boston store have gone out of their way to help - they're great - but Ibanez is not helping here I guess. To be continued
