The Ibanez SA260 is an excellent guitar for both beginners and shredders alike. The Bridge Pickup gets a harsh bite thats great for Metal, but switch to the neck pickup and you'll get very good fat, warm tones as well. It's very light, which is good for anyone who doesnt want to lug a les paul everywhere. I'm using it with a Line 6 Spider 2, no pedals, no nothing, and it sounds fantastic. My only problem with this guitar is the fact that it only has 22 frets.
This guitar plays great, sounds great and looks great! Ibanez always delivers an awesome guitar and this is no exception. I only wish it came with a Prestige neck.
I have had this guitar for quite a while, and absolutly love, never had any problems. The floating bridge is a must have. Easy to up grade parts and beautiful maple top.
