  • Excellent Guitar

As reviewed by John Gallo on 11/15/2012

I saw this guitar at Guitar Center I thought it looked cool so I picked it up and could put it down. It has a lot of different tones thanks to the coil tap. The clean tone is especially good. The guitar also Stays In Tune even after hard pulls and dives. Setting up this guitar took me over an hour to get it in tune. I had to increase the spring tension because the bridge would keep raising while tuning. The guitar overall has a great feel and is easy to play. After purchasing I would recommend a pro setup and new strings to get most from this guitar.

  • Best Guitar Ever

As reviewed by DARIUS MAROSZYK on 4/29/2014

How to start this review....it is really hard. OK. Got Gibson Les Paul Artisan 1974 model...paid for this guitar over $ 5,000 some years ago. Had ESP ST1 , Yamaha Pacifica , Hammers etc, etc. Bought this Ibanez two weeks ago. First impression....pickups are garbage. Ibanez would better leaved empty holes for pickups than install this sh....t. So I bought DiMarzio Super Distortion for bridge and DiMarzio D Activator for neck position and........my jaw drop and hit the floor really hard. It was sweetest sound I heard from many years. Of course I change strings ( I 'm mixing ernie ball with daddario) adjust neck and bridge and I'm in heaven. Playability and sound of this guitar is top. Neck is really fast (fast here mean light speed) I tune this guitar few days ago and is still in tune after hours and days of hard playing. Actually I guess this guitar was made as some version of PGM and it sound identically but for some reason they named it just RGR ( second R for reverse headstock). And here is conclusion...You do not have to spend thousands of dollars to buy very good guitar. This Ibanez sound and play better than many others much more expensive guitars and from today on I'm the biggest fun of Ibanez. So....if You thing about this guitar buy other pickups....trust me. Also if You thing to spend few thousand dollars for JEM or other "Prestige" model do not do this. Just buy this guitar , change pickups and that is it. Ibanez rules( with DiMarzio only)
