A legendary guitar paired with a legendary artist.
Designer H.R. Giger, best known for the creature of "Alien" fame, has once again joined forces with Ibanez this time to create the RGHRG1 electric guitar. Ibanez may be best know as the fretted-instrument maker for heavy metal band Korn, jazz guitarist George Benson and many others.
Rather than repeat another full body graphic design, the Ibanez RGHRG1 features Giger's touches in other, more subtle areas: the headstock is textured with a Giger design, the bound rosewood fretboard features a gold mirrored inlay that is unmistakably Giger, and the control knobs are transformed into Giger designed skulls.
Since 1987, many players have selected the Ibanez RG as their weapon of choice for visiting sonic mayhem on the metal masses. With the right choice of pickups, flat and fast necks and double-locking trems, the RG has divebombed and crunched its way to classic status. To the RG's lethal combination of features, RG Prestige models add the comfortable, rounded feel of Prestige neck finishing, drop-dead good looks and top-shelf electronics and hardware.
The H.R. Giger signature guitars are a very limited production run and will undoubtedly become highly sought-after collector's items.
