WOW! thats all i have to say.. ive been playing ibanez guitars for 5 years now and the company never ceases to amaze me.. i picked up this guitar just as a cheap back up 7 string (my other one is a rg1527M) From the moment i picked up this guitar i was impressed.. i slapped some EMG's on there and it went from my back up guitar to one of my favorite guitars i own.. the neck is super thin and fast (as usual with an ibanez) and from the moment i unboxed it, it already played great.. bottom line if you dont own this guitar already, GET IT!

  • Why have 5 or 6 strings when you can have 7?

As reviewed by Matt on 6/7/2010

The RGA archtop guitar not only has hot curves but playability. For live performance, its lightweight body gives players more freedom to prowl around stage. The arched top also lets players to knock down heavy riffs and power chords without hitting the guitar body. All told, curved beauty and great performance combine gracefully and powerfully in the RGA.

  • Ibanez Rga 7

As reviewed by Will on 2/12/2011

I like this guitar a lot, normally ibanez necks are too small and flat for me but this one feels a lot better. I like the stock pickups but if you're looking for a screaming amount of clear distortion tone that's used in tech-death type music i'd switch the pickups out for some EMG's or something similar. The mid-scoop switch doesn't really do much, it's a subtle difference in sound that i could've taken or left but it doesn't diminish anything for me personally. This is a light instrument, around 5 or 6 lbs. considering how thick and tough the finish is on the mahogany body that's remarkable.
