If your reading these reviews by now your head is probably spinning on all the selections of guitars there are to choose from From the s series Rg series to the x series and on and on when i decided to purchase the RG920qm it was well over what i wanted to spend but let me tell you the quality of this instrument is absolutely incredable and i dont regret it for a second I love this guitar it plays so easily with its 15x3/4 inch radius this is a very fast neck and it looks so awsome and sounds great with the 5 position switch you get a very good variation and control over the tone if you decide to buy this guitar you wont regret it and you will most likley fall in love with as i did oh yea forgot to mention that the tremolo system is outstanding if anyone says otherwise they are wrong i have been dooin bomb dives and lizard tails for two weeks and this guitar hasnt gone out of tune yet trem systems have come a long way since the old days thats for sure ...Rock On
I've played many guitars. MANY GUITARS. Right now, I onw a Fender Custom, 2 Gibson Customs , ESP 8 String and a Martin. I recently purchased it, I felt it would be a downgrade or something since it wasn't a prestige or something. But I was wrong. Not to exagerate or something but this is as good, of not better, than a prestige. It's only downfall is that for an Ibanez it has a relatively thick neck and the Pickups are OKAY. If you've got a couple of hundred extra dollars, I'd put high-end Dimarzios or Suhrs. The Guitar's great for Prog metal, Mathcore, technical stuff and Melodic Hardcore(kinda). The finish is amazing, i feel like some glam metal guitarist using it on stage and outshines my Gibson when it come to soloing. If your planning on an ESP or something, give this a try first.
I own an epiphone les paul and I decided to get a "real guitar" that I would keep for a long time. My first instinct was to upgrade to a Gibson because I thought that it's quality would justify the rediculous prices. I tried many at the store, but none gave me the lead tone I wanted. Then I came across this guitar on the Ibanez website and saw that the reviews were good so I ordered it. When it came, I saw that the finish actually looked better than the pictures Cobalt Blue was very beautiful and the cosmo black hardware went well with it. It took several hours for me to get the string hight adjusted for the Super Slinkys (the diaddrios that came standard didn't have enough definition) I put on it, but that was most likely because I had no experience with double-locking trems. I plugged it into my Line 6 spider amp and could crank out just about any tone I wanted: Rock, Metal,Clean,and Cruncy. If you want a reliable guitar that can do it all and still look beautiful , but don't want to break the bank, then this is a great option.
