Product Information

A versatile, affordable rocker's weapon.

This Ibanez RG4EXFM1 Electric Guitar's pickups and pickup placement give you the hard-edged cutting tone you want for heavy rock. With a bridge humbucker pickup, middle single coil, and neck humbucker, you'll never run out of tone options.

As heavy as it rocks, this Ibanez RG guitar is made of basswood, a comparatively lightweight wood, which makes it very comfortable for extended playing. With a good balance of highs and lows, basswood sits right between alder and mahogany in sound character. The RG guitar's flamed maple top not only adds beauty, but just a bit of extra brightness to make individual notes stand out. 24 frets offer easy playing for leads and chording and the Ibanez RG4EXFM1 has a tremolo bridge that lets you divebomb all night long. A locking nut helps keep you in tune.

Since 1987, many players have selected the Ibanez RG as their weapon of choice for visiting sonic mayhem on the metal masses. With the right choice of pickups and flat, fast necks, the Ibanez RG4EXFM1 guitar crunches its way to classic status.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

Ibanez All the Way!

I was amazed when I played this guitar. I knew it was the one for me, the nice transparent gloss makes it look beautiful and once I used the Edge III tremolo it was deadly and stayed in tune well! The pickups are awsome too, the middle pickups sound great with a clean tone, I'd recommend this guitar to anyone.

My Favorite Guitar.

I just got this guitar a few days ago and it is by far the best guitar I have ever had, this thing is perfect for shredding or for a nice clean tone, the neck is amazing Ive never felt anything like it, the Tremelo works perfectly and never goes out of tune if you set it up right, the pickups in it are suprisingly amazing. my favorite part is how strong the trust rod is. you can pull the neck back as hard as you can and it won't budge, a big(perfect for live shows), and at the cut aways it's cut down a bit so you can hit that 24th fret with no effort. the color is amazing, the girls love it, I got mine in grey. it feels really good while standing up too, most guitars I play feel weird to play standing up but this one is perfect, but over all it is an amazing guitar. it would make an awsome Holiday gift, and hey you can't go wrong with an Ibanez.

Awesome

I bought this guitar about a year ago, and i have to say by far this is probably my personal favorite guitar iv ever played. I love everything about this guitar. The neck is amazing. Its incredibly smooth. The variety of tones you can get out of this guitar is outstanding. I love the finish too, its beautiful. The best feature overall on the guitar though has to be how well it stays in tune once u get it just right. I wail like all hell on the strings and bend the Whammy as far as it will go and back again and its still perfectly in tune. My only problem with this guitar would have to be the middle pickup. It buzzes a little bit, but its no real big deal. Overall, i love this guitar. Its my main axe and will be for quite a while. i would definitely replace it if ever stolen.

One for all and all for one

This guitar is great. Honestly a better system for the price you cannot find. the whammy bar keeps a constant sustain and seems to take any and all abuse humanly possible. so if your doing metal its fast, the center pick up has a good zone similar to a telecaster. the register is high enough that you can keep a decent sustain. if you want a prestige ibanez save the money get this and some di marzio's or EMG's and you'll be running one killer instrument

One of the best guitars I've ever owned.

I've been collecting guitars for a while now. Mainly for different sounds and styles when recording. I went in to Guitar Center this past May, browsing. I came across this guitar. I've always trusted Ibanez so I picked it up and plugged in, and let me tell you; This guitar has a sweet tone. It doesn't matter what channel you have it on, it sounds terrific! Anything from Deathcore to Jump Blues sounds great on this guitar! And In 4 months, it still sounds beautifully!

Pretty awesome

When I first saw this guitar on the wall, I was stunned by its appearance. The aesthetics, the colors, the head, just jumbled up and created an orgasmic symphony for the eyes. Naturally, I played it, expecting it to be crap but hoping for great. Thankfully, my hopes were fulfilled. The clean settings were sharp, the drive was heavy, the neck was fast, and it never went out of tune. Obviously, with this kind of bridge, I expected to have some problems with the bridge, because this guitar isn't supposed to change tunings all the time. I got a set of Dunlop 10's, and it's set at D Standard, but i don't know what guage you need to get for E standard. The only other complaint was the proximity of the single coil pickup to the strings, but that can be adjusted. Not a beginner guitar, but a good 3rd or 4th. Definitely a solid investment.

a good buy

I love the guitar. I thought about buying the RG5EX1 but fell for the beautiful finish and chrome hardware of this one. I got it in the transparent blue and let me tell you the top veneer is just awesome. Totally worth the extra 80 bucks or so over the EX1, as they are otherwise the same guitar. The neck plays great and is very easy to move up and down the fretboard with speed. The bridge isn't floyd rose licensed, but I have nothing to complain about it so far. Stays in tune well once you set up right and the fine tuners work great. Only problem I've had so far is slight fret buzz on the low E string, but you can't hear it through the amp at all. However, I am going to find a way to get fixed anyway. The pick ups are not the best sounding I've played, but for the money I expected that, and I plan on replacing the bridge pick up when I get some more cash in my pocket. An overall wonderful guitar for the price.

GREAT QUALITY AND TONE

Been wanting a new guitar for about a year, and after lots of searching I went for this one, and I'm really happy I did, Cleans are amazing, and the five switch toggle just gives you a whole lot of options, and for distortion it has a very good tone, pick ups are a little weak, but they'll do the work, and for the Edge III tremolo, I don't know why it has that awful reputation, I've been messing around with it all week, and it stays in tune perfectly... BTW: My guitar was correctly set, and the action was awesome

Best I could find for the price!

I spent over a month after finding thid guitar trying to find something comparable at a better price... Not gonna happen. This guitar is increbible. I was playing a Ibanez GAX70 before I bought this and the difference is like day and night. As an intermediate guitar player this was a bit more than I can fully use but the complexity and playability of the instrument will help anyone get a LOT better. Make sure you understand the hardware on the guitar before you buy!!!

Beautiful. Just Beautiful.

I have to say that this guitar may be the most pleasing to the eyes of any in this price range. Whether in Transparent Blue or Grey Burst, it is simply beautiful to look at. I have this one in Grey and the quilted maple one in blue. Other than the looks of it, they're exactly the same. They felt decent with the stock setup, and felt even better after a full fret level, recrown and polish! The pickups I switched out, because, frankly, they sound muddy and have very little dynamics. I threw in some Dimarzios and it sounds like a dream. An Air Norton in the neck, an Area '61 in the middle and an Air Zone in the bridge. But I like the versatility of the 5-way switch. To sum it all up, it's definitely worth your time and investment. It does a lot for being a metal guitar. Play on, all.
