An sharp-looking and value-packed guitar that celebrates the RG design in a dual humbucker configuration.

The RG was developed in the 80s as the Roadstar (RG stands for Roadstar Guitar) and it soon earned a reputation as a pedal-to-the-metal shred machine. Although there are RG players in a range of genres, the metal guitarist continues to be the die-hard RG player. The RG3XXV 25th Anniversary Electric Guitar sports a "best of" collection of features favored by RG fans, including a wizard III neck, dual DiMarzio humbuckers and locking tremolo bridge. This RG also benefits from a bold color treatment with its bright finish and color-matched inlays.

I love everything about this guitar. I came in the store to try another Ibanez in the same price range, and I was not impressed enough to part with the cash. On a whim, I picked this one up, and it just immediately felt "right" in my hands. Great tone, really bites the frets and at the same time is incredibly fast, so you feel very much in control, like the feeling of being behind a finely tuned sports car. It has the Edge-Zero II tremolo, which is new to me but after a few hours tuning it up, I am pretty impressed with its quality and engineering. A little stiff on the whammy at first, but I got used to it and now really appreciate the zero-point stability, as it stays in tune very well after big bends and dives. I did run out of room on the saddle adjusting the intonation, still a hair sharp on the low E but nothing I can't live with/fix later on if I really want to dig apart the relief, etc. I also really like the DiMarzio Air Norton-S at the neck, seems like a well placed upgrade at this price to make it an alternative to higher priced models. You won't miss the double-humbucker with a single that the other 25th's have. A few superficial notes: The laser blue looks a little cheesy in the pic, but it actually has a deep tone to it that changes slightly depending on the light, partly to the hint of shimmer (not sure if they are actual metal flakes) in the paint. The matching blue inlays really pop out, and the reverse headstock gives it an edgy look to it. Also, you can see the grain in the Maple neck. Overall, the guitar's appearance gives you the sense that you have something unique but can actually back it up with its quality. Fantastic guitar.

This guitar grabbed me because the quality of maple in that neck. Then I learned about the balancing on the tremolo and I was very impressed. I was going to but the prestige but it did not play as well as this model..excellent value and USA pickups are so worth it!!

QUALITY !!!!!! Feels like my RG 760. Bought mine off the wall in Dayton, Ohio. Can't belive this is made in Indo.I'm 48 year old Semipro player. Classic rock/Hair metal/ Southern rock. I set the neck/ action and its SMOKIN. I've owned 18 other Ibanez's over the years,3 currently. If you like the look, you will love the preformance. BUY IT,LOVE IT SHRED IT.
