The bolt-on three-piece maple neck has a Wizard II profile and a rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets for fast-and-heavy riffing and shredding. The lightweight solid basswood body lets you rock longer while the fixed bridge design delivers powerful tone and sustain. Flashy looks are provided by a matching headstock and dot inlays on the fingerboard.

NEW REVIEW - RG2EX1

Just recieved my Jewel Blue RG2EX1 yesterday, found that it was packaged very well for shipping which was a concern of mine when I ordered it. No worries there though. When I first opened the box and got my first look at the guitar, I was blown away with how attractive this guitar is, especially in jewel blue. This is my third guitar, the first being a cheap Fender starcaster strat and the second being a Ibanez AX7221 7-string. This is a huge step up from both in quality, looks and sound. The best part of the guitar I would say has to be the wizard II neck, absolutely amazing. Very comfortable to play on and my playing speed increased because of it. The sound output with this guitar is also very very good. No hum or noise when not playing and when you are playing the tones put out by this thing would make any metal god happy. Overall I am more than pleased with this purchase. If i didnt know the price of this guitar and was told to guess how much it cost, I would have guessed between $500-$600 due to the good quality and craftsmanship of this guitar. Very highly reccomended for anyone looking for an attractive and lightweight metal/rock guitar. It will play clean notes very well also but cranking the gain is what makes this baby shine! If someone stole it I would hunt them down with dogs and tear off their arm before I beat them with it. Very good guitar at a great price.

One Of THE Best Axes

I have owned this axe for about eight months now, and it has held out so good. I have played this guitar every day since July of 2006, and it has held up through the worst playing conditions, knocking, banging, ect. The Pickups in this babe are some of the best I've played, even before the real emgs i have played before (81,85 common setup) they scream. they have very good harmonic capabilities also. this axe is just all out amazing, not just for the price, but for the quality and tone this thing has. It is just all out amazing, nuff said.

Great guitar for the price

I purchased this guitar because I wanted an Ibanez with a fixed bridge. So far i am very happy with this guitar. The wizard II neck is so comfortable and the emg designed pickup is not bad at all. The neck pickup is a little weak but if your using this for metal its not a big deal. I love the comfort and playablity that this guitar offers and i would refer this guitar to anyone looking in this price range. Great value for sure.

Ibanez rules

This is the best guitar I have ever used. IT is easy to play, makes the perfect sound and looks so tight. I mean it, I am writing this report mostly because I had a Shecter Oman 6 and it sucked. the reviews for it were very encouraging so I bought it. I traded it in for this Ibanez and there was a huge differance and they both cost 300 dollars. THis thing can play any type of music.

Awesome Guitar

This guitar is awesome. I went to guitar center and tried many guitars from $200 to $400 and this was the best. I took it to my teacher and he absolutely loved he didn't want to give it back to me. The quality is amazing and so is the sound, it can play any kind of music all for $300!!!!!!!!! I love this guitar and any body with the budget of up to $500 should by this guitar. Best guitar out there for the money, hands down. Don't just sit there and read this review, GO BUY THE GUITAR!!!!!!!!!!!
